I called first to make sure they had the items I wanted. Once confirmed, I headed down there and was greeted by a friendly smile. Wes helped take my measurements and pick out a shirt for me. I was quite picky but he had all the time in the world. Even after failing to find the right shirt, he gave me tips on how to meet my needs. I ended up buying a long sleeve and am hemming it to make it short sleeve.

Plus, awesome price in comparison to other surplus stores and he gave us a discount too! Like it wasn't cheap enough already! I recommend this to anyone who needs uniforms for cadets/security/first responders or the like!

idk what you guys are talking about , idk who helped me but he was a very nice man . I asked about some satchels and other bags and he helped me out and gave me some good advice. prices are cheap and i would love to buy from them again ... idk what most of you guys talking bad about younger people in the store , im 15 and i walked in with a heavily studed punk jacket and they treated me fair and were very polite. If you want some cheap army gear for collecting OR wearing i suggest this place highly for it being cheaper then most places

I have shopped at the military surplus store in Newestminster for many years. The owner Wesley is very helpful and a great guy. Obviously his store has been singled out as has he and this is not the way of the true judicial system. If it is. Then it is a travesty.

The City Of New West acted prior to Wes Baker having his day in court. It is obvious he was set up, and New West City Counsel was a puppet of the police. The false statements against Wes Baker are from drowning rats that plea bargianed to save there own buts. If I sell you a base ball bat, and you ask me " can I use this as a weapon?" and I say "sure" does that make me a crimminal? Why would the man play with starter guns? He has better things to do dollar wise. Why are the other stores selling the same items that were siezed?
Shame on New West Counsel, give the man his day in court first!!

Not only is this Wesley fellow a absolute d***. But he is now an official criminal and being charged with multiple weapons charges. Sounds like he convert starter pistols into actual fire arms, perfect for that gangbanger who wants a throw away pistol after shooting someone. Dont support local crime, and dont shop at this store.

You were most likely wasting his time, asking silly questions. I have attended this store for over 24 years, and have witnessed Wes to be very generous. This is a surplus store, so if messy bothers you, go some wher else.

Stay away from this store - the guy is rude - his lady employee is nice though and I feel sorry for her having to have a boss like him - he has a lot of stuff but prices are high and he is no interested in helping people out - very rude man indeed and very dismissive of younger people - guy needs a lesson in manners..

Wes is a great guy....at least, I get along with him very well. He's informed about what's out there, and he'll look for things for you if he knows you are sincere about keeping in touch by either dropping in or calling from time to time.
He's never been rude to me, and after a few purchases you can speak to him about pricing... sometimes he's dropped me a deal on something without me even having to ask.
I found hard to find old military surplus stuff, from uniform bits, badges, flashes, to military bivouac hardware of all vintages.
The key is: you have to know what you're looking at or looking for. If you don't know, ask. If you do know, don't play dumb. Wes knows what he has on hand, reproduction or otherwise.

I have purchased army surplus from armysurplus365.co.uk, and this is simply the best I've ever shopped at. It looks really small from the outside but, as others have noted, it's exactly a labyrinth inside, with aisle upon twisting aisle of pretty much everything. Need fishing tackle, knives, ammo, camping gear, a portable potty? They've got it, and plenty more besides (I got a bit nostalgic seeing British Navy-issue sweaters like my dad used to wear back in the day when he was a Sailor). They have tons of work boots and athletic footwear including very reasonably-priced Doc Marten, Merrell, Caterpillar, Timberland and Dickies shoes/boots.

Owner of shop is incredibly rude, especially to younger collectors. Dismissive, not willing to answer questions, and sells alot of fake junk. Save your money, buy online - i went into this shop to maybe chit chat about a few items, and share with a fellow collector. Never been treated so bad in my life. AVOID this store and owner, gives the hobby a bad name.

This surplus store in New Westminster is awesome. I have been shopping there since I was a kid and it hasn't changed much. They have the most surplus in the lower mainland. The store is ran by the owner and his wife and they are excellent people. If you want good surplus and the best deal check it out. Westley Surplus is a must.

Title says it all. Sorry, but it was really messy the 3 times I visited. The owner was rude and dissmissive as wwas his employee. They do have allot of stuff, although pricing is a little higher than other stores. (See Urban Mil, PoCo Mil or Dave's Surplus stores instead)

Sounds like some dummie that dosen't know what a surplus store entails? Have you ever seen the traffic and the high volume of people that are in that store? Best Surplus store in the lower mainland, the same guy has been there for 30 odd years.

Wes has a great store. I have been shopping there for many years and am very satisfied. His selection of various military items and survival gear is awesome and not many stores in the area compare.
