on a recent outing from hospital, i was surprizedat the lack of accessiblity. ythe entrance was difficult to get in bymyself as there was a gutter at the doorway. the washroom was impossible to enter and once inside difficult to manuver myself. the stall was to small to turn around in.
the food and service and helpfullness of staff was great. i would return if i could get in, until that timt i will stick to take-out.

Visited restaurant at this location. Upon entering and walking to table the floor was slippery and appeared coated in grease. One elderly woman whom we observed was using a walker. Whenever she stopped her feet would begin to slide out from under her. Visit this location several times a year and have never experienced this before. Incredibly unsafe. Mentioned it to the waitress. She didn't seem particularly concerned. Upon sitting, the tables were noted to also be coated with grease and our napkins had to be used to clean them. When food came, two of us went to move our plates and noted grease on the bottom of the plates as well.
Took almost 15 minutes before any one came to serve the table. Once order in, it took exactly 37 minutes for food to come. Timed it exactly as this has been an issue before. Needless to say we shall never come into this literal "greasy spoon" again. No offence intended to the figurative greasy spoons that I have eaten in, which were very clean.I googled "dirty swiss chalet" and saw countless entries detailing similar concerns as my own bolstering my resolve to not return and prompting this message. No major complaint about the food, but seeing the standards of cleanliness that seem to prevail I would be even more hesitant to order takeout.

Additional business details

Swiss Chalet's unique, cripsy rotisserie chicken was inspired by a secret Swiss recipe, discovered by founder Rick Mauran, from Monteral. Today, the rotisserie - a large open-flamed overn that slowly roasts the chicken in its own juices so it's crispy on the outisde and tender and juicy on the inside - is still at the heart of every Swiss Chalet.
