order call centre - 1 star only - no personality, can hardly hear them, ends call with them hanging up abruptly

Food - gets 4 stars - well prepared, consistent in getting what you expect

Restaurant personnel - very well run establishment gets 4 stars - owners care about their business

I cannot see how a donation to charity solves your problem with the quality of the food you deliver. We order the chicken many times and sometimes we do have a complaint about being burned, etc., but to-night we decided to try your fish and chips - what a disaster - first of I ordered one order of fish with chips and one with a baked potatoe - lo and behold we got two baked potatoes no chips which my husband was looking forward to, net the fish had a very hard batter on it hard to eat and the fish when picked up and pressed slightly had water running out of it - presume must have been frozen and not properly cooked. Very disappointing would not order ever again either in your restaurant or delivery if we do order again. jean d.

What a delight! I called ahead 4 days to reserve arrangements for 34 guests to join us for dinner. We requested to bring cake for dessert, for our celebration event. They were so accommodating. We had a private area for our guests along with a table for our dessert. Service was great, friendly and assertive. Although our meals arrived at different times but, closely together this allowed conversation to be expressed throughout our gathering. I am overjoyed with the service and the provisions we received.

I just received my "fish and chips" order, and I am very dissatishfied. My fries are soggy. The fish is very bland. So my stomach is still hungry. I probably will not eat at Swiss Chalet anymore.

My friend and I from Algonquin College were starving and ordered delivery take out. It arrived within 40 minutes which was great, however, the food was terrible. The wings tasted like they had been re-cooked and the fries were very soggy.

We called back and complained, we got a "next time you come the meal will be on the house." I doubt that will happen though. And I doubt we'll ever eat or order food from there again.

Lauren I read your comment and thought that was funny because I experienced food poisoning from the swiss at a different location. Lawrence and Dufferin in Toronto. Never eating at the swiss again.

HORRIBLE!!! Can you say food poisoning!! I was sick for 2 days and had to miss work at a new job. I am disgusted; the place looked like it was run by teenage boys. When I walked in to pick up my order, I couldn't even think the music was so loud, No one was wearing hairnets, people preparing the food were eating it as they were doing so and to top it off I get food poisoning! I Will never eat there again I will never eat Swiss Chalet again. I advise anyone thinking of eating at this location to find another place to eat!

Additional business details

Swiss Chalet's unique, cripsy rotisserie chicken was inspired by a secret Swiss recipe, discovered by founder Rick Mauran, from Monteral. Today, the rotisserie - a large open-flamed overn that slowly roasts the chicken in its own juices so it's crispy on the outisde and tender and juicy on the inside - is still at the heart of every Swiss Chalet.
