I find that this restaurant is one of the hidden gems in Richmond Hill. The food is fantastic! Try the liver, the sea bass or the rack of lamb. I would compare the quality of the food here to downtown Toronto standards. The facet of the restaurant that puts it over the top is the care and enthusiasm of the staff. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

I have dined at the Richmond Grill for numerous years. The food is first class, the service excellent and atmosphere wonderful. It has recently been bought out by new management-guess who? The cook for the past 15 years! Horray- still the same delicious food. I have been in since that time just to try and of course everything was amazing. Glad to see you are open for lunch again!

This is one of my favourite restaurants. It is on Yonge Street right smack in the middle of Richmond Hill next door to Singer Shoes. Just looking at it, you wouldn't think it was much but you'd be wrong.

The appearance and taste of the food is as good as any "downtown" restaurant. They have excellent fish dishes; sea bass is fabulous. The also have first rate meat dishes - basically they have a little of everything and it is all superb! The menu does change every so often so it's worth going back to try the new stuff. I've heard of people that come all the way from Pickering just to dine here and it's well worth it.

The martini's and wine choices are also first rate and really what else would you need!

Price is 4 stars out of 5 for Richmond Hill but probably more like 3 1/2 stars if you are comparing to downtown prices.

I agree with you on those points 100%. My hubbie & I don't go out that often (budget constraints & difficulty leaving our autistic son with somebody competent) but we do a few times a year on a special occasion.
Next time we're in Toronto, we are going to give this place a try.
Thanx :)

As I said, it's fairly expensive by suburb standards but not so bad by downtown standards, but worth every penny. I don't mind paying more if the food, service and ambiance is worth it, but nothing upsets me more than paying a lot of money and saying the food was so-so.

Sounds like it might be a place worth checking out.
How would you say the prices are Ruth, compared to other dining places of the same calibre?

Hello
I have eaten there too.
After a trip to Joe Singer shoes...:P

The food is good. The prices are exactly as written.
I just think that the interior could use some help- it's too " cafe"- ish for the price.

What can I say- I like dimmer lights and a more romantic ambiance.

Other than that- it's fine.
