Good traditional breakfast generous portions, and a cozy vintage atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. While the decor is simple and no-frills, the quality of the food and overall dining experience more than make up for it. If you’re looking for delicious comfort food, great value, and warm hospitality, this place is definitely worth visiting.

I am a sucker for diners and visited this one that was recommended by a coworker. It is family-owned and you felt the love the minute you entered. The restaurant itself is quite cozy, nothing flashy but makes you feel as though you’re at home.

The food was really good!! That peameal bacon…more please! I was surprised too that they had a mimosa option, which for me, tied everything together.

I truly recommend this place!

I had brunch there today and it was pretty good.
I ordered the corned beef hash and they let me get hollandaise on the side.

It was really good. Maybe not a super healthy choice, but tasty.

The restaurant is unpretentious, maybe a bit dated decor, but i guess for a 1950's theme, it is fine. More like 1950's as seen by 1980's eyes, but comfortable.

Staff were really good. A nice neighbourhood place.

Not really in my neighbourhood but if i am in the area i will definitely come back!

Times Square Diner is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, Peter, the owner, warmly welcomed us and personally showed us around the restaurant. His passion and pride for the place really shine through, and you can feel the history and heart in every corner. The atmosphere is incredibly nostalgic, truly a blast from the past in the best possible way.
The food was delicious and fresh, exactly what you hope for from a classic diner. Everything tasted homemade and prepared with care. It’s rare to find a place that combines such genuine hospitality with great quality food and such a unique, timeless charm.
You can tell this isn’t just a business to Peter it’s part of his life. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend anyone looking for an authentic diner experience to visit Times Square Diner.

I first discovered this diner back in high school (I went to mackenzie). It became the spot me and my friends would go to for lunch and we always ordered the poutine.

Years later, I still find myself coming back every now and then, and it’s just as welcoming as it always was. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere feels familiar and comforting. I usually order the burgers (super juicy) and the poutine.

If you’re looking for good food, good vibes, and the friendliest service..Highly recommend. 🫶

A very pleasant atmosphere, and the food is exactly as described.
What I enjoyed the most, based on my experience, was the service from Mr. Petter — what a gentleman! He can talk about all kinds of topics, truly kind, polite, and attentive.
For me, the atmosphere is the most important thing, and I honestly felt comfortable here.

I totally recommend this place if you’d like to travel back to the 80’s and take a break from all the modern rush. It’s a family-run business, and a very good one.

If you go, mention that Luis, the Mexican guy, recommended it.

I pass this diner multiple times a week while driving as I love just down the road. I finally decided to stop in here for breakfast and did not regret it!
The service was amazing. The head chef was friendly and chatty and the server was also courteous, friendly and loved to talk.
The environment is great, it’s a real throwback to a 80’s diner. My one regret is that I didn’t sit in one of the bar seats like a true old school diner. Next time I plan to.
The food was good. The bacon slices were a great size and thick. The sausages were tasty. The eggs were cooked as I ordered them and the home fries were incredible. It’s hard to mess up breakfast food and Time Square Diner did not mess this up. I felt the price was slightly high for what was offered especially with it just being a standard bacon, egg and sausage breakfast. But you’re definitely not breaking the bank at this spot
I definitely plan on going back and would love to try their other breakfast options.

I had a great time at Times Square Diner! The food was excellent, service could have been better.

Sat down right away, got coffee then ordered shortly after that. However, our server never came around to refill our coffee or water - we always had to track him down. Tables beside and behind us got refills but ours didn’t…

Besides that, the food was excellent! I got my home fries well done because I like them extra crispy, and they were cooked perfectly!

The pancakes were soft and fluffy, very light and delicious. The breakfast here is amazing, looking forward to going back.

This is a great place to eat. Is it fancy? No but it is comfortable and love the atmosphere. They're great people who tries to remember their customers and will go out of their way to give you what you ask for. Love the liver and egg benny. No one makes these like Peter does. So you want something filling and enjoyable, come here and enjoy. For those who wrote negative review must have done something to deserve it. Can't please everyone but you certainly pleased my friends and family. Thank you

Time Square Diner is a one-of-a-kind hidden gem off Wilson Heights Blvd just south of Sheppard Avenue. We drove past this place for years, and finally decided to stop in one night on our way back from up north. Sandra and Peter were AMAZING! Even though they were closing, they let us come in and order dinner.

We have since been back for numerous weekend breakfasts AND dinners. The Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken is AMAZING! flavorful, hearty and MASSIVE! ... The breakfasts are hearty, and down home and delicious! ... with REAL fresh squeezed OJ. The atmosphere in the Diner takes me back to being a kid ... in good old days!

Every staff member is polite and pleasant, and very attentive. Special shouts out to Ethan, Allan and Andreas who are always smiling and seem to genuinely like people and working hard! ...Sandra & Peter are fun and engaging, (ask them about their many riddles and jokes :) .... and the unseen cooks behind the grill we haven't met yet… create amazing food.

If you want to experience affordable dining with AMAZING unpretentious service and good, hearty food - then give Time Square a try!

We will be regulars for a long time to come! Great job Sandra & Peter & Staff ! your diner is one of the best hidden gems we have come across!
