We had been there before and loved it so, when we saw that Lolita's Lust had a Winterlicious menu at a good price ($25/per person) we decided to go back there. It was dissapointing. The place seemed a little run down which is not how I remember it, although it is a couple of years older now. The staff were great, friendly and knowledgable. We all ordered potato and leek soup as a starter. Since when are either potatoes or leeks brown? It was tasteless - we asked for salt but it didn't help. The main courses, stuffed chicken, salmon or gnocchi were pretty good, but nothing to rave about - not special. Desert was the same - ok.

We were dissapointed but have decided not to give up on the place. The regular menu looked interesting and we notice that the place had contstant turnover and was constantly full so we figure it must (usually) be good.

We will try again. Dissapointed, but not disillusioned!

We too had fond memories of this restaurant (at least 5-6 years ago), but skipped winterlicious there because of a bad experience a couple of years ago. We were the ONLY ones in the place (was a Friday night at 7pm) and service was extremely slow and food not that good. I think it's seen its day!

When we walked in at 7:30 there was only one other table with people but by the time we left the place was full and there was a constant turnover. Those people must know something we don't, so we will try again.

Always a good time with the lolitas
We found this cute little hidden gem by chance one night, looking for the "not so Greek" place on the Danforth (yes, I know). We wanted to have the "last drink", before the last call, before calling it a night. So here we are, entering the doors, not knowing what we are getting ourselves into.

We get greeted by basically everyone, the staff and the customers alike - some dancing in the middle of the restaurant to the happy house-ie tunes, some sitting at the bar and some still munching on some deserts!

We get lined up at the bar, one shot, two shots, and the next thing you know we are all friends, dancing together, having a good time. It was no different the next time or any other time we showed up late at night. Not so long ago we actually met the chef David as well and we couldn’t resist but try one of his deserts. They make them all in the restaurant.

Thick, chocolaty slice of heaven, with spoonful of whipped cream and a strawberry. YUMM! So delicious it was melting in my mouth ... SOLD, we came back for a dinner.

The dinner menu is kind of gourmet/bistro-ish, but not so gourmet that when you look into your plate you are left with guess work and wondering what the elements could possibly be. Everything we ordered was really good. French fries were a little disappointing though they looked so appetizing. My salmon was delicious, in some beats reduction with chilli oil ... very subtle flavours, nothing too overwhelming. They have feta scallops!! ... Do I need to add more? I brought my love for potatoes to the right place :-)

Upstairs is a lounge called Chinchilla for private parties ... and I am sure my next bday celebration will be in this small, intimate and maybe a bit of whimsical place, that is ... unless I am jumping out of the plane again.

Adding some photos from another bday dinner that turned out to a wild party>
