My wife, myself and our daughter frequently dine throughout a variety of locations within the Greater Toronto Area. A lot of times we like going out after dinner, Grab a few drinks and snack on an appetizer or two. We have noticed on more then one occasion our server seems to have a problem with a party of 3 sitting down, only to order from the starter Menu and nothing more.

Kelsey's is always an exception. The staff is always friendly, no matter what or how much we order. That being said we unanimously chose the "Kelsey's Starter Trio" as our number one choice for an appetizer selection. The combination of friendly staff, comfortable environment, Four Cheese Spinach Dip,Classic barbecue Chicken Wings,Roasted Chicken Quesadilla
followed with a frothy draft beer for myself, Smirnoff ice for the wife, and a cold Mug Root Beer Float for our daughter makes this in our opinion, One of the best places to go on a Friday night with the family. Oh yeah, and If you have any room after that, Try their hot Apple Crumble with vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with a hint of cinnamon, and a specialty tea that just hits the spot. Wait till you hear what we had for dinner ;-)

Since I'm on a low-carb diet,I always have the wings when I'm there. They're so flexible @ Kelsey's, they'll even make them without the dusted coating, if u ask! :)

Love the apple crumble thing...it's one of the best things there, and i actually think about saving room for it when i order dinner.

I've been bugging micah.n49.ca to take me to the Newmarket Kelsey's.. we passed by it a few weeks ago and I really wanted to go but we didn't have time that day. It's a restaurant that I used to love as a teenager... and they don't have one here in Toronto. I used to love the cheddar bacon chicken grilled sandwich and the broccoli cheddar soup. We stopped by for lunch/dinner on Saturday mmmmmm Yummy. Guess what I ordered??? :)

Yes, they still had it on the menu! I ordered the cheddar bacon chicken grilled sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup, no fries and no tomato on my sandwich, and a cup of coffee. Micah.n49.ca ordered the shrimp seafood pasta with a bowl of broccoli soup and an iced tea. Our server brought our drinks and dumped my coffee all over the floor.. he brought me a second cup of coffee but no spoon to stir it with... nice.
Then he brought a soup for micah. So I waited and waited.. where is my soup? Finally I flagged him down and said..."Can I have my soup now or does it come with my meal" He said "oh do you want it now??? Yes it comes with your sandwich" I said well if he is having his soup before his pasta then I would like my soup too please.

Thank goodness the soup was delish.
Micah said his pasta was wonderful. I received my cheddar bacon chicken grill with a giant slice of tomato...sigh. I took it off.. the sandwich was yummy.

there is nothing worse than build up anticipation ending in dissapointment. sorry to hear about the service, maybe no tipping for bad service will teach the industry how to value customers. I understand that being a server its quite some job (handling tons of people every day is a challenge) but if you are not up for it or good at it .. choose a different job.
