Back in August we had ordered pizza from the Gabriel's location on Ogilvie Rd. The pizza was terrible but even worse was the customer service. Initially I was not going to write a review but finally relented after insistence from friends who were present that evening.

First of all it took forever for the pizza to arrive and when it did it was lukewarm at best. This we knew immediately by the feel of the boxes when the pizza came out of the delivery bag. When we opened it we discovered both pizzas had been very lightly scattered with ingredients, on top of not being hot. A true disappointment when I paid $40 for two large pizzas from this shop. And it wasn't as if we had never ordered from here before and did not have a standard to use.

Frustrated, I called the 310-7777 number and was told that they could replace the pizza as long as it was still TOTALLY intact. I explained that there were two pieces that had bites taken out of them and they had been put in the garbage but they could most definitely take the remainder. That was not good enough. In order for it to be replaced it had to have all pieces there and uneaten. By this time I was livid. I called the store directly which was where this young lady had been receiving her direction and was very rudely told by some gentleman named Hattie that this was their policy. After a back and forth and my asking his name (refusing to believe this could possibly be a policy and wanting to verify the information) he very abruptly yelled at me and hung the telephone up.

Finally after calming down we decided to order from Colonnade Pizza which my husband went out to pick it up. By this time it was 10:30 pm. After my husband had left to pick up the pizza Gabriel's delivery driver came back with two pizzas to replace the ones we had initially wanted replaced. We took the pizzas but no one including myself trusted what could have been done with them after the display of anger from this individual and we just opted to wait for the others to arrive.

I completely understand that sometimes you can have an off night and the pizza may not be at it's best for whatever reason but in this case the most unfortunate thing is that we had company that evening who got to experience this DISASTER and the rude customer service we received. One of whom was my Mom. What a poor way to treat people who spend their money with your business.

Perhaps your experience will be better but if not, know that you are not alone. Gabriel's Pizza Ogilvie Rd will NEVER again see another penny of my money.

If you get the food on time, it's reasonable - but not great. However, at busy times (Fri/Sat evening) it can take well over an hour (tonight it took 1h 15 minutes) and the food is likely to be cold.

It seems to me that this food chain is way too popular for the quality of food and service.
