Belly Buster Submarines

Hands down one of the best subs in the city (if not the best)!

They bake their bread in- house and that (along with the fresh ingredients) just makes this place something special.

I go for the bacon combo (or turkey bacon) and it never gets old - highly recommend.

The staff are also super friendly and be sure to say hi to Thomas when he working, always super warm to me.

I have dined here a few times now. This is a family run business and they are super friendly and experts at their craft. The restaurant is very clean and the subs are always fresh and made with care. We enjoyed sitting on the stools when eating and having a great view of the hustle and bustle of Yonge St. We will be back again! Highly recommend when craving a sub. I get the large for lunch and eat half in the restaurant and save the other half for dinner.

First time trying Bellybusters, and won’t be the last! I got the signature Bellybuster Sub and my fiancé ordered the most popular Turkey and Bacon sub, and let me tell you, when they say bacon, they mean BACON! Not some ready crisp, this bacon was THICC and they were generous with it! The Bellybuster was quite delicious, the bread is super tasty, and the ingredients look very fresh, even at 8 in the evening. And for the price you pay, it’s well worth the trip, I’d say it’s less expensive than the competition for what you’re getting. Definitely recommend Bellybusters if you’re craving a Sub sandwich. Wish them much success and I look forward to seeing more of their shops opening up around the city, it’s much needed!

Visited as part of their recent 50th anniversary special. They have a handful of locations in the city and are also locally owned, with their Yonge-Lawrence location as one of their original locations.

Their subs are made to order with a choice of toppings. Probably the most recommended ones are their premium subs such as their Turkey Bacon or Belly Buster subs. Staff were very friendly in taking orders and recommending choices for my sub.

Overall, recommended because it’s a locally owned business in the city. They are also open late so it’s a place to go for late night eats.

Solid sandwich shop with quick and friendly service. I got the pulled pork footlong and it had a good amount of meat inside it. And best of all, they offer mushrooms as a topping!

Definitely better quality sandwiches than your other typical sandwich chains.

It's a Mr. Sub wannabe but missed the mark. The bread is terrible, meats are mediocre, and toppings are only acceptable. Hard pass on Belly Buster.

New-ish location on Queen E in Leslieville.

This long time Toronto sub staple did not disappoint. The last time I had one of these bad boys must have been over 15 years ago.

Small assorted on whole wheat with fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, hot peppers and the original sub sauce.

This place is good. No bells and whistles, just a straight up old school sub shop! Great friendly service and good quality subs! You gotta try it!

I would have to say this is the best submarine in Toronto. It’s reminiscent of the old Mr. submarine subs when they have the grated lettuce and that sub sauce it’s just like it’s better than Mr. sub but it’s better than any of the classic subs I know there’s other options for you these days but soft bun get the assorted

Late night and just what the Dr ordered. Submarines that are different in a place that can pass for a 50’s diner, without the jukebox .

Tasty experience, really good balance between price and quality, clean around, friendly and cooperative staff.

Average subs, used to be fantastic a few years ago, size and quantity of ingredients has greatly diminshed

Hands down best subs in the city. Ingredients are incredibly fresh from the bread, to veggies, and the meat is fantastic. I've been eating here for over 20 years and the quality has never waivered, and the prices have never sky rocketed. And they are open late, which is awesome after a late night of drinking in the city.
