I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. The woman named IVY who claimed to be both the manager and the owner handled the situation in a rude and unethical manner. The way I was treated was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Her behavior lacked basic customer service and professionalism. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.I recently brought my son to this salon. During our visit, I politely asked a staff member named IVY if I could use the washroom. She didn’t respond, and her facial expression made me uncomfortable, but I chose to ignore it.I want to be very clear: I am a clean person. Whenever I use a toilet, I always wipe the seat afterward with wet tissue. That has always been my habit. After returning to the waiting area, Ivy suddenly gestured at me in a way that felt demeaning, as if she were calling a child. At first, I thought she was calling someone else, but then I realized she was calling me. Instead of speaking to me privately, she pointed her finger at me and accused me in front of other customers—of always leaving the toilet dirty.
I was shocked and completely embarrassed. She insisted that I had left urine on the toilet seat and even waved her hand at me to go back to the washroom, pointing at the seat. When I checked, I did not see any urine at all—only a small amount of water from wiping the seat. I was so overwhelmed and humiliated that I forgot to take a video for proof.
When I asked to speak to the manager, she told me she was the manager. When I asked for the owner, she said she was also the owner. That made the situation even more disturbing. If this is how management or ownership treats customers, that is deeply concerning.
What hurt me the most besides the accusation is the way the owner handled the situation. I was denied privacy, dignity, and respect. This could have been addressed calmly and discreetly, but instead I was confronted publicly in a rude and humiliating way. She even claimed I had done the same thing during a previous visit, which I strongly deny. Why she even brought out this kind of thing to the customer. And I am not the only one who is using the toilet. That visit was paid off and I am the customer who can use the toilet.
I am a respectful, quiet, and honest person. But no one deserves to be treated this way—especially in public. I couldn’t help but feel judged and unfairly treated, possibly because I come from a different country.
I don’t know whether legal action is possible, but I do know this: wherever we are, and whenever we feel humiliated or discriminated against, we must learn to speak up. Silence only allows this kind of behavior to continue and possibly harm someone else.
I’m sharing this not to attack, but to stand up for myself—and for anyone who has ever felt small or disrespected in a place where they should feel safe.
