Manish Prasad Shrestha, MD, FACP grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is Board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. “I was initially drawn to medicine because of the respect and trust that comes with being a physician,” he says. “I have since discovered my purpose and passion in the field of medicine. I feel extremely privileged that I am able to help patients and alleviate their suffering.” Dr. Shrestha earned his medical degree in Nepal and moved to the United States, where he completed a residency at Saint Francis Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of Illinois at Chicago. He subsequently completed his gastroenterology fellowship from University of New Mexico. He also trained as a National Visiting Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Prior to joining MemorialCare, Dr. Shrestha served as faculty at University of Arizona (Tucson), Loma Linda University and University of California, Riverside.
