My wife and I went to celebrate Valentine on Sat Feb-12 before the Valentine rush. I agree with a lot of the comments made about being served Frozen food. If you know seafood, this is definitely not the restaurant. In my opinion, this less than average seafood and way too expensive for the quality of seafood served. We've had way much better seafood and a lot cheaper. None of the seafood dishes that we ordered were good or tasty. The only thing we enjoyed were the Oysters on the Half Shell and that is because they were fresh (not frozen), served with a regular tomato based seafood sauce probably out of a jar rather than a special house specialty sauce. The rest of the seafood was less than average to terrible.
Soggy/ rubbery Calamari that were not crispy served with Tzaziki that was not as good either (did not finish it). Pan Fried Oysters very plain, they lacked some spices and texture. The New England Chowder was not good at all, it was probably a mix of Manhattan and New-England, was reddish in colour and no taste of seafood (probably from ready made frozen, did not finish either).
Although we ordered our main course after we were done with the appetizers, the Bouillabaisse came COLD or barely warm served with rice. I complained to the server, she went and warmed it up (probably in the microwave - no-no for seafood) instead of bringing me a new dish. Still was not hot or warm enough. By the time the server came back to check, I had stopped eating. Shrimps, muscles, were not tasty at all just like eating rubber, not sure if the fish was Halibut, it was not flakey rather cottony/old. The Scallops were chewy (Never before had a chewy scallop, probably frozen and old), the crabs were small, did not try them simply to avoid the mess (they were not cracked) and most likely I was going to be disappointed like all the other seafood we've had so far, the sauce was very light with little or no aroma - did not finish the Bouillabaisse.
Again my wife ordered the Filet Mignon with the Jumbo Nova Scotia Scallops (big disappointment with the scallops, absolutely tasteless, looks like they used one scallop that was sliced in 3 pieces). The Filet Mignon was GOOD and tasty that my wife and I shared and saved the evening.
I expressed my disappointment to the manager/owner and I was even more disappointed when he would not take ownership of the problem and rather tried to tell me that on a day like today things go wrong in the kitchen and you can't please everybody. He did not offer to replace/make a new dish or make it up somehow - very sad, he kind of asked me to be easy on the review.
The server brought our bill of $230 and told me that the Manager did not charge me for the Bouillabaisse. A nice gesture from him since I did not ask for it. But I would rather pay more to have a nice nice romantic valentine dinner with some good food.
Clearly I was very disappointed and more so at the manager's response, our Valentine evening was ruined and nothing will make up for that. Normally we stay for desert and after dinner drinks etc... but we cut it short.

Oceana is way too expensive for the quality of seafood (frozen/readymade seafood), I don't mind paying a premium price and a premium quality/fresh seafood.
