Came here on a Sunday afternoon, November 2nd, 2025 and it wasn’t busy but there were loud people near the counter and they appear to be friends with the owner or the employees there. There were chatting and while this is fine, it is extremely loud that I can’t even order anymore. The woman who helped me just took my order as if I’m a disturbance from their chat and after taking my order, she went straight to chat with her “friends” again. She then gave my order to the younger woman for her to arrange them altogether which took longer. I’m not sure why she’s too slow and I can’t judge her for that but she appears to be naive and aloof. So if you’re facing customers, you should be able to converse and face them comfortably? Not sure if she’s new. Not sure about the friendly service from the reviews here but that ain’t the experience I had. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Update! This Smashing IT Bakery, Becked Goods has moved to a new location located just at the corner of St. Clair Avenue West and Christie Streets!

So pay them a visit and buy as many awesome baked goods as you can. Your family, friends and taste buds will be glad that you did!

Hoppity-Doo-Dah! I just found myself the cutest little bakery nestled in the heart of the St. Clair West Village!

And I am so glad I did, in fact, stumble onto this gem of a bakery.

All of their baked goods are baked with the most wholesome of simple ingredients.

No artificial flavors. No fake ingredients. Just real down to earth ingredients go into their recipes.

Cookies, Cakes, Brownies, Hot Chocolate. Lattes, Coffees. Honestly, you can't go wrong here!

All of the baked goods are scrumptious to the very last bite!

Excellent and friendly customer service as well! It is very cheerful and a delight to engage with. 🥳

If you are in the area you must stop! Maddy and Jillian are fantastic!

Look behind St Clair for a walk-up laneway café. A source of espresso and s’more cookie treasures. A better option than McDonalds:)

Cutest little spot off the beat and path. A little tricky to get to but so worth it! I love the pink and the branding they use. Great variety of unique baked goods, smoothies and drinks.

I loved the banana peanut butter and chocolate muffin so much. I didn’t get a photo of it but it was my favourite although I loved everything! The chocolate chip cookie was delicious. I find so many of them are overly sweet but this one was just right. I love that they use milk and dark chocolate chunks. The lemonade was delicious also not too sweet but just right.

There’s really no where to eat there - no tables so expect to take what you get to a different spot to enjoy or if you’re good with informal there are some spots you can sit!

Looking forward to going back and trying a smoothie!
