The croissant was very dry and over-baked, the server behind the counter was not friendly and the minimum tip option was 18% which is a bit mental for a bakery/cafe. Cute building and nice atmosphere however.

The price was honestly the best part. Two sausage rolls for $4.35 in the Distillery District is kind of a steal.

The downside? They were barely warmer than room temperature instead of actually hot, which was a bit of a letdown. I also wasn't offered a napkin or any condiments, so it felt a little like, "Here you go... figure it out."

Not a bad spot if you're after a cheap snack, but the basics definitely need a glow-up.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a wonderful experience at Brick Street Bakery on Canada Day, and it made our celebration even more enjoyable! We stopped by for coffee and some fresh baked treats, and everything exceeded our expectations. The coffee was absolutely fantastic—rich, smooth, and perfectly prepared. It paired so well with their amazing selection of fresh pastries, buttery croissants, cookies, and other baked goods. It was honestly hard to choose because everything looked delicious.

What truly made our visit special was the exceptional customer service. A special thank you to the wonderful lady who served us. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely made us feel at home. Her positive attitude, warm smile, and friendly personality created such a pleasant atmosphere that made our visit even more memorable. Service like hers is becoming rare, and it deserves to be recognized.

The bakery itself is beautiful, clean, and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax with family or friends. We were there on a very exciting day as Canada advanced to the next stage of the World Cup, so the entire area was full of positive energy and celebration. Enjoying delicious coffee and fresh pastries while sharing that excitement made the experience unforgettable.

If you’re looking for outstanding coffee, fresh baked goods, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Brick Street Bakery. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, enjoying breakfast, or meeting friends, this is definitely a place worth visiting. We had a fantastic time and will absolutely be back. A well-deserved five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been here a few times to order breakfast sandwiches. Like early in the morning , first few customers and they don’t have ingredients for the day. They don’t let you know until after you paid and tipped for your food. Would not recommend this place. The ingredient was bacon. On their bacon and egg breakfast sandwich.

Hands down the best pork sausage rolls we've tasted. Friendly and helpful too.

A bit disappointed. I got a ham and cheese croissant and it only had one tiny piece of ham. They didn’t warm it up or at least ask if I wanted it warmed up. A bit overpriced, and the tip options start at 18%… I mean, I’m just taking out a cold ham and cheese croissant.

We stopped by again today like we do every year when we visit the Christmas market at the Distillery District and it never disappoints. Our favourites are the Cornish pasty, sausage rolls and the butter pecan tarts. So warm and delicious!

This bakery has a casual, down-to-earth vibe. However, the prices felt a bit on the higher side.
We ordered the Coronation Chicken sandwich and the Egg Salad sandwich. The fillings were tasty, but the bread was quite hard and dry, which made the soft fillings spill out as we ate—ending up a bit messy.
Napkins aren’t placed out on a shelf for self-service, and they don’t seem to be provided unless you ask, so I’d recommend requesting a few when you pay.
On the patio, pigeons and sparrows quickly gather around the tables, likely drawn by the crumbs.
If you’re not comfortable around birds, just be aware—they do come quite close.
While this visit was a bit disappointing overall, there were some other items—like tarts and pot pies—that looked really good, so I’d like to come back and try those next time.

A cute small bakery located in Distillery. They serve a variety of pastries at an affordable price! The hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows is worth getting when you want a hot drink on a cold day. Especially compared to the other options in the area during the Christmas market season, this is a great affordable option. The space is a bit limited but still some seating space.

I want a home baked plum pudding , so I searched and found the The Brick Bakery makes plum pudding .I visited the Logan St location and was told they do not make them ,so I purchased a mince tart good, but nothing special .I have been calling their Distillery location to see if they have plum puddings and the phone rings and rings no answer .I called their 3rd location and the phone is not in service .I am now going to have to take the street car to the distillery location , to most likely be told they do not bake them .

Nov2024 Casual, no frills, and rustic bakery at the Historical Distillery complex that serves a wide range of baked goods and dishes.

The sandwiches are huge and the listed menus are varied. Tastes are diverse to appeal to plenty of diners. The brewed coffee is typical drip type strong and cloudy.

Service is counter takeaway style. Downside is that you need request for napkins despite them having a diy sermvice takeaway counter. No driniking water as well.

Dining nooks are limited to small stalls and counters.

Ideal for takeaways and very quick bites.

Brick Street Bakery is located in the Distillery District of Toronto. There are a number of sandwiches to choose from. It was quite difficult to explain what we wanted to the server as she struggled to understand us in English. We asked for a variation on what was advertised which she seemed to accept but it later turned out that the sandwiches were pre-prepared so it was not possible to alter the ingredients. What we received was a pre-wrapped sandwich on bread that felt somewhat dry, suggesting that the sandwiches were not that fresh. However, it was very pleasant eating at one of their outside tables in the sunshine.

I was slightly disappointed. I love Portuguese egg tarts- these were acceptable- but missing something- I love when there is a hint of almond flavor- which these did not have. The cheesecake tart also disappointed me- really didn’t have much flavor at all.

The iced latte was quite good. Just wish it had less ice and more latte.

We were in the Distillery District and walking around when my wife needed something to eat but did not want the usual fare. We walked into the Brick Street Bakery and really liked their selection of food and coffee options. The server/operator was friendly and guided us through our options.
Service was quick, friendly, and the food was delicious.
A return visit is definitely in the future!
