Bavarian Inn

We visit Bavarian Inn at least once a month for many many years now, always excellent food and service.
Always get a smile and handshake welcome from the staff and owners.
Its best to make a reservation for weekend dinning, the place can be a full house quite often especially the summer months.

The food is great. It is the kind you would get if you were in Germany, wholesome, easy on the pallete. My problem was that I brought my one year old with me. She accidently hit her lip on a table and started crying. It took about one minute to settle her down. Few seconds after she settle down, Stephan (the assistent manager I guess) lean over the table and said "You know your not being fair to the other guests." I thought that this was inapropriate since a) she was not crying by this time b)she got hurt and only cried for a minute. I have the feeling that this is a very busy restaurant one or two less guests does not matter. I must add that I take my daughter with me all the time to different restaurants including the River Cafe down town, Deer Lodge in Banff, Banff Springs etc. and I have never felt experience this. However, if you are not a parent and you do not mind the restaurant calling you back three times changing your reservation (yes Stephan really did this) you are in for some great food. I must add, however, that my apple strudel was on a black side on a bottom.
