Rugged Point Lodge was extremely well organized and well run during our July 2025 trip. The room and lodge were very nice, food was gourmet level, staff were friendly and efficient, and the boat and gear were well set up. The fishing was some of the best I have ever experienced in over 20 years of fishing on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Our guide Josh was an excellent fisherman and easy to spend the day with. The fish processing onsite was extremely high quality as well. Overall, a great experience and would definitely like to return for another trip. Thanks!!

Went with a bunch of buddies. Had a fantastic time. Fishing was on fire, pretty much limited on everything. Local guides really are the best and they knew exactly what they were doing. Food was better than I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Comfy rooms and all around great place with great staff who are so friendly and really do their best to accommodate you with anything you might need. I’d go again in a heartbeat.

Rugged Point Lodge was a disappointment. For starters the gang and I went fishing, and we caught only THREE FISH. The fish were not big and they smelled stinky 🤮 BARF!!!! ALSO, there was a naked guy taking a bath on the dock which is unacceptable and unprofessional. Overall a good experience thanks a lot… NOT!!😡

Amazing hospitality in the most beautiful setting. Fished our limits and made great new friends.
We have stayed at a number of fishing lodges on this coast and this was by far our best experience all round to date.
