Dr. Tempesta is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine in the Department of Pediatric Critical Care. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Spanish from Villanova University. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed both her residency training in Pediatrics and her fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. During her fellowship training, her research has focused on assessing the complex care needs of pediatric patients and their families admitted for long admissions in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She has received the Department of Pediatrics Small Research Grant to fund her work in this area.
