Going into medicine was an evolution of my curiosity. I loved science, physiology and helping people in pain, which led me to specialize in pain management. I want my patients to know I will work hard for them, but they have to work hard for themselves and learn to be healthy. When a patient comes in and says, 'Hey, I went on vacation with my grandkids and I wasn?t in pain,' that?s very gratifying.
