We have eaten at Manita Rosedale for lunch and two dinners and always, we have loved the food and the staff is really nice. We went for our daughter's birthday in April and sat upstairs, by the window in the corner. I guess we are making this a tradition, as we came in December for our son's birthday. If you want a quiet evening, this is not the place for you - as it's so busy (a little loud) but lots of fun. If you like high energy places, then choose Manita Rosedale. We had wine by the glass, some beers, 2 Steak Frites, 1 Brick Chicken, and a Manita Cheeseburger. For dessert, we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding and a piece of Carrot Cake. Both desserts were incredible delicious and they were very large portions. As it was our daughter's birthday, they very kindly did not charge for her dessert!!! Dinner was $319 including tax, but before tip. The staff all really seem to enjoy working here - it's a great atmosphere!
This is very very mid in terms of food, service, ambiance, etc. And the prices dont reflect the quality if the food. They served my friend mussels where almost half of her mussels hadn't even opened... wouldn't the kitchen know better then the send that out? No standard when sending the same dish out. My table ordered mussels three different times and all 3 had different amounts of bread. So bizarre.
Forgettable food. Forgettable restaurant.

We visited the Rosedale location for dinner. It replaced a popular local spot and the menu and ambiance looked promising. Unfortunately, the food was only average and overpriced - $30+ for burgers, $40+ for salmon, $55-80 for steak. Most astonishing of all: average price of around $30 for a 5-oz glass of wine - comparable to the fanciest places in the area. Service was indifferent, but at least the ambiance was nice.
Finally tried this place on Canada Day. We walked in for dinner at 7pm and was able to get a table for 3 inside immediately.
I ordered the burger and it was overcooked. The server managed my expectations at first saying it is served medium rare. I wasn't planning to send it back, but the servers didn't check up on me for me to give them feedback. It wasn't a bad burger 3/5, but I was expecting a bit more for $31. The fries were super crunchy and could almost chip a tooth.
Don't think I'd return to give it another go or recommend. Prefer Richmond Station or Pearl Diver.

We came for the burger after reading about it being one of the best in the city on BlogTo. It was good, but I thought that the patty wasn’t thick enough and lacking some flavour I thought the bacon would add to it. It was pretty good, but not great. The options for beer were limited and the cocktail list seemed to be standard.
First time dining here and couldn’t have loved it anymore. The oxtail chutney is a top 5 dish in the city, will definitely be back to devour it again. Elissa was so attentive and gave my friend and I such a lovely service. 100% recommend!
The food was enjoyable, although the portions were a bit small. It would be great if sides were included with our breakfast sandwich and pancakes. Other brunch spots in the area offer sides with breakfast meals. The server was friendly, and I recommend making a reservation or arriving early to avoid crowds. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a charming local spot. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, take advantage of the free parking before 1 PM!
Came for lunch. The chicken parm sandwich and burger were REALLY good. Service was great. Both items were charged at higher price point though.
Came to celebrate a friends birthday for brunch. Had seen reviews on TikTok and was excited to try.
Sadly the food and service did not live up to the hype.
Food: We ordered the burger (which had tonnes of reviews of being one of the best in the city) but the fries were more of a highlight than the burger. It was not worth the $29. We ordered the prosciutto and burrata sandwich which was probably the best thing we tried. We also got the Ribolitta soup which was not hot at all.
Service: our table server was amazing. She was super attentive and deserves 5 stars herself. However, there was a male server who was rude and not accommodating at all, actually provided little effort to provide customer service. They also didn’t have cash change for us?

Is this the best burger in the city? Idk but it’s totally up there. Vibe late on a fri was great and we just walked in no reso. Drinks were yummy and friendly staff. Unfortunately the anchovy crostini was just bread with 3pm of butter and an anchovy which was far too much butter. Japanese sweet potato was yummy, but tbh I couldn’t get over the butter on the crostini. Burger came first which was strange so had the apps last?? Anyways I’d totally come back and try the rest of menu.
Btw came for lunch and had the Panzanella salad which was unreal.

The food was so fresh and flavorful. The sourdough bread was 😍😍😍😍My hubby and I shared the Niçoise salad and the Mediterranean platter. I thought the salad was going to be an actual fresh tuna steak based on the price of $27 but I still really enjoyed it. Will be back to try more menu items
We went to Manita Ossington for a brunch. It's a very nice, bright, and inviting neighborhood cafe/restaurant/bar. The menu has a good variety of options to choose from. I ordered the Manita Breakfast (smoke salmon, soft egg, capers, red onion, tomatoes, dill, and griddled bread) and a cappuccino. The food was nicely plated, and the ingredients were fresh. I personally enjoyed the breakfast, so I highly recommend giving it a try!
I really like the atmosphere at the place, especially the outdoor patio that looks out to the busy street of Ossington. There wasn’t a huge selection of food options here, the food was good and it wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t anything special and outstanding. They don’t specialize in one cuisine. The Mediterranean platter seemed like an appetizer platter not a main dish. The lemon spaghetti was very good, but the spaghetti pieces were a little too thick and tough.
Cozy little restaurant with a nice patio, serving brunch and other lunch/dinner dishes, make this a versatile stop to dine during all times of the day.
Food is very well made as we sampled some brunch, sandwiches, and entree's.
Inside dining space is limited, so larger parties is a bit hard to accommodate, make reservations!
I give them 8.5/10!

I came to Manita with my daughter and two nephews. My daughter loves coming to the Ossington area! We had a Baguette Ham and Cheese, a Veggie Burger, a BLT and a Turkey Club. We had two pops and an iced latte and an iced Americano. Bill was $130 before tip. This is a very popular spot for lunch.
