We ordered the Dad’s 48 and the Katsu Dad, and both were generously sized, more than enough for a satisfying breakfast sandwich. They were packed with flavour and really hit the spot. The service was quick and efficient, making it a great stop for breakfast.
My only small regret was taking mine to go, the chili oil was dripping everywhere, so it would have been less messy to enjoy it there.

Ordered the Dads 48 sandwich and a coffee slushee. Both were awesome!

The sandwich was filling, super satisfying, and hit all the right notes with amazingly cooked eggs, sausage and a hash brown in it. Special mention to the hot sauce for anyone who likes a bit of spice - that was delicious too.

The barista/servers were really nice, and quick! About a 10 minute turnaround time on the sandwich which is quite quick for a busy spot. Coffee slushee was perfect for a hot day.

Overall, price point was on the higher end with $15/sandwich but it was worth it - I’d highly recommend!

Side note, seating is limited but comfy and accommodating regardless.

Was visiting Toronto and going on breakfast sandwich crawl. This place did not disappoint. I had Katsu sandwich and the egg was sooo moist and the hot sauce was AMAZING. And the coffee slush! Yum!!! We tried three places and this was my second fav!

One of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. You have to get the classic Dads 48 that has a perfect ratio of egg, cheese and meat (sausage of bacon but I highly recommend the sausage) with a soft bun.

If you want something that’s vegetarian I really liked the Katsu dad. Panko egg, caramelized onions, chili crisps, and aioli.

The hash-brown is really good, it’s super crispy which is how I prefer my hash-browns.

They have regular coffee but on a nice summer day you can try the coffee slushy, in comparison it’s like a stronger version of a timmy’s ice capp

Stopped by Dad’s Breakfast recently after hearing great things about their breakfast sandwiches and it definitely lived up to the hype. The spot has a simple, cozy neighborhood feel and focuses on elevated comfort food done really well.

I tried the Dad 48 sandwich with bacon, egg, cheddar, crispy hashbrown and pickles on a soft toasted bun. The combination of textures and flavours worked perfectly together- crispy, cheesy, salty and tangy all at once. The pickles were such a good addition and balanced the richness of the sandwich really well.

The ingredients tasted fresh, the sandwich was super satisfying without feeling overly heavy, and the service was quick and friendly. It’s easy to see why this place has become a go-to breakfast spot in the city.

Overall, definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a quality breakfast sandwich in Toronto, especially around the Dundas West area.

Heard alot about this place so had to check it out for myself. Went with the 48 sandwich since it is the famous sandwich everyone talks about. Gotta say it was a very pleasant surprise, the homemade ketchup really adds an extra punch to it. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had and pretty good slush coffee too. If I’m ever around the area again I’ll be stopping by for another sandwich for sure. Only negative is the extreme lacking of seating and dining space but still a very cool spot to check out.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches!!!! I got the Dad’s 48 sandwich and it was such a tasty and flavourful sandwich. They had a spicy sweet sauce in it as well and that was tangy. Loved it! Their hash browns are really crispy and the egg is so fluffy. They were very busy when I went so service was slightly slow. I wish they had more seating in the store, but apart from that everything was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Visited recently to try their collaboration with Bear Steak Sandwiches. They are best known for their breakfast sandwiches, serving a unique take of classic egg breakfast sandwiches to more creative options as their take on the breakfast sandwich.

Their collaboration with Bear Steak Sandwiches was an Egg and Steak Sandwich, which comprised of flank steak, scrambled egg, fried hash brown and the chimichurri sauce from Bear Steak Sandwich. The sandwich itself had a good mix of texture with the egg, steak and hash brown, as everything fit together very well. As this is normally their Dads '48 Egg Sandwich with a couple of differences, this was a good way to try one of their classic egg sandwiches. Their menu has other options such as one which uses a panko-breaded egg (the Katsu Dad) as well as their own Egg Salad sandwich.

Overall, it's a good spot in the city for a breakfast sandwich especially if in the Dundas West and Dufferin area. The restaurant is more of a pick up/take out spot, but does has some (limited) casual seating available to eat in.

A good breakfast spot overall but does it live up to the hype? The buns were soft, everything was seasoned well, and the sandwiches were satisfying — just fairly standard. Nothing personally stood out enough to make it feel especially memorable.

The Katsu Dad’s chili oil reminded me a lot of chili silken tofu (which I enjoy), though at this price point I found myself wishing for something a bit more distinctive.

I’m happy to pay more when the quality or creativity really shines, but two sandwiches and a small coffee slushy felt a bit steep for what we received.

Overall, not a bad experience — just not somewhere I’d go out of my way to revisit.

Their Katsu Sandwich was a standout! It's an Asian fusion flavor that's surprisingly spicy so be warned. Also tried the new Falafel one, which also tasted on point in terms of fusion Mediterranean flavors, but I prefer the Katsu still. The Katsu one's worth the money IMO because it's a unique taste and not your average breakfast sandwich, versus other negative reviews might be referring more to their classic American style breakfast sandwich.

Was here on a Saturday morning. Very limited seating with people always coming and going. Popular spot!

very solid, well-made breakfast sandwiches (and the katsu dad was super unique and tasty), but i think i paid way too much for two sandwiches and a small coffee slushy.

the katsu dad had a warm, comforting, fluffy egg with a SUPER crispy coating, and was sandwiched between two, thick but soft buns. the chili oil was sooo aromatic, quite spicy, and mixed really well with the creamy, mayo-y aioli. it was super saucy and quite a flavourful sandwich, so it paired really well with the cold, honey-sweet (but not too sweet) coffee slushy.

while the katsu dad had a very powerful, savoury/salty flavour, the dad’s 48 was much sweeter because of the ketchup and had a strong tang from the pickles. the crispy hashbrown was a good touch too, but i think it was a bit more generic/normal (didn’t stand out as much) as the katsu dad.

again, the coffee slushy pairs really great with both sandwiches (although a wider straw would’ve helped, when it was mostly icy slush and not a lot of liquid)

I'm not going to lie and say this wasn't a good sandwich BUT I would also never say that this requires a visit. The breakfast sandwiches (both the classic and the vegetarian one) were good, but not a single element of either stood out. The eggs and sausage kind of blended into each other, which is fine but it was a bit disappointing that neither sandwich had a single element that shone. Each bite kind of tasted like generic, albeit good, breakfast sandwich.

Would maybe go again, but only if someone else really wanted to go.

EDIT: Upon further consideration, the thing that irritated me the most about this sandwich is that texturally it all kind had the same feel. The hash brown wasn't crunchy at all, and the sausage really just had no bounce. The bun was soft and pillowy, which would normally be good, but there was just no contrast. I might as well have been toothless and I probably could've eaten it all the same. Just kind of a bummer.

You can tell that either the sandwich was bland or that my friends and I don't listen to each other, because every single one of us turned to the next person and said "Oh wow, there's pickle in this" because literally nothing else was of note.
