Dr. Wang thrives on the intensity of critical care medicine. “What attracted me to becoming a doctor was being able to spend time with people. Working at the bedside in the intensive care unit, I’m able to guide patients and their loved ones through the most difficult moments of their lives. The critical care environment is the perfect combination of intensity when it comes to delivering medical care and building relationships.” Dr. Wang’s father and mother were both architects who designed a balanced life for their son. “My mom taught me what it’s like to have empathy and be compassionate, and my dad taught me dedication, perseverance and the value of hard work.” Among his many hobbies, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling. One of his most memorable trips was not to a famous vacation destination. It was to the east African country of Tanzania where he spent two months as part of his medical education and training. “It showed me the determination and spirit of its people and how much you can do in such a resource-limited setting.”
