Dr. McComas graduated summa cum laude from Santa Clara University with bachelor’s degrees in history and biochemistry, followed by medical training at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
She completed specialty training in radiation oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she received premier training in various radiation techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, adaptive radiotherapy (ART), intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT), and GammaTile brachytherapy.
