What can I say about possibly the worst property managment company I've ever lived at?

Well for starters upon moving in the place was extremely unclean, had to clean it myself before moving anything in.
Asked about any preexisting water damage that may have happened in the last couple of years, sure enough they told me no pipes have ever leaked, burst, no sewer backups...nothing...within a couple months of moving in I had mold growing out of the ceiling, people came in and cut it out but never fixed the source of the leak and the drywall was wet again in the matter of weeks. Had 2 sewer backups in the 9 months i lived there and informed them about it immediately, had to clean and sanitize the area myself as the people they sent in cleaned it up with a spong mop and bucket and left all effected drywall that was soaking in sewage. No sense in urgency as it took 3 days for them to call a plumber in to declog the lines...twice.

Called alberta health to come inspect the the house as my girlfriend was pregnant and we wanted to be sure there was no further damage or health issues.

Dawn managment came in to replace the window with possibly the worst window I have ever seen in my life but on top of that the workers they sent did all their cutting inside the house with 0 clean up, covered my mattress, baby bassinet, floor, walls, dresser in saw dust along with over a dozen screws left on the ground for me to step on.

Upon moving out of the house me and my girlfriend spent 5 hours cleaning the house, patching pin holes, I cleaned the oven 4 times and took about 2 hours doing so, the oven was a late 70s model and had its fair share of ware and tear, upon receiving my damage deposit I discover they deducted money fo having to clean the stove. The money was minimal so that I couldn't really do any thing about getting the money back. These people do not give a shit about their properties and even though it wasn't in my lease threatened to charge me for snow removal and lawn maintenance. Other than Amherst property managment, dawn properties is one of the worst company's to go through, don't do it, you will regret it.

Ps: if you are looking to move out of their properties do not use them as a reference no matter how good a tenant you've been, they will give you a bad reference just so that you don't find a place in time and are forced to sign another lease. I siscovered this by calling them pretending to be a landlord following up on references.

My experience with these people is much like ALL other renters who have the dismal luck of having to deal with people like this...these people do not care what happens in any property that they mis-manage ,hookers, drug dealers and who knows what else were my neighbors for several years. Police had to be called many time BY THE RESIDENTS Mrs. Tataryn did not have the time( ever) for this management duty.
Heat in winter was always marginal at best.
No resident manager,so no cleaning...smelled just great!
I could go on and on but I am sure the reader will get the idea, STAY FAR AWAY from this company.

Slumlords. This company is run by a family of slumlords. If you complain about their properties you will be served eviction notices instead of having stuff fixed. They once refused to turn on my heat and i have children. They told me they couldnt drive in to do it because they live too far away. They said i would have to go stay at a friends house until they could make it in. They pretend not to know the rental tenancy act. these slumlords must be stopped. Gordon and shirley tataryn, you are the worst slumlords in calgary!
