Egon Rodriguez is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He provides care to electrophysiology patients.  Born and raised in Santiago de Cuba, Mr. Rodriguez began his healthcare career in Miami working as a nuclear medicine technologist. He completed his undergraduate nursing education in Cuba and earned his master’s degree in nursing at Ana G. Mendez University in Florida. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner in cardiology, he treated patients in a cardiovascular care unit and outpatient clinic focused on cardiothoracic surgery.   Mr. Rodriguez enjoys listening to his patients and their family members, educating them on the disease process and improving the patient’s overall functional status. He collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless coordination of care.  Mr. Rodriguez is fluent in English and Spanish. His favorite pastimes are traveling and spending time with family and his favorite place to be is by the ocean.
