The journey of Welcome Home Yoga & Wellness is a story of tenacity and resilience. The COVID-19 pandemic nearly caused our collapse, just as we were getting started. After being forced to vacate our first small studio space, our Co-founders rolled up their sleeves, got to work, and advocated for their dream of moving into the former B. Siegel Building. Securing funding from Detroit-based lenders for a brand new buildout, successfully reaching our $20,000 crowdfunding goal on Indiegogo, winning a $40,000 cash grant award from the Motor City Match Program, launching an annual Palmer Park 5k and Yoga community event, receiving the 2023 Olga Loizon Memorial Foundation grant funding and being named 2023 Small Business of the Year by the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce, are a direct result of our efforts over the past 3 years. Now, reopened in a beautiful new home, we look forward to serving and sharing many more milestones with the Metro Detroit community.
