We had an awful home buying and selling experience with our agent, Melissa Julie Francis. She did barely any work at all. WE found all the properties to view. WE accommodated her schedule, with our 4 kids! She usually was only able to do viewings in the evening on weekdays. Fun times fitting in dinner, baths, and travel time to other towns with 4 kids, so that our realtor's weekends (AND I MEAN EVERY WEEKEND) could be spent uninterrupted at her cottage.
When it came time to make an offer on a house, she was at her cottage, and wasn't overly eager as the home was being sold through com free. Needless to say, we lost that home due to her unavailability and inexperience.
We found a home (ON OUR OWN), she engaged in an argument in the driveway of the home we wanted to purchase. We put an offer in, conditional on the sale of our home. She used the paperwork from our previous offer, with the names & addresses of the wrong people on the paperwork and didn't realize until I pointed it out to her.
The sale of our home, she posted the worst pictures. It wasn't posted on the day we had agreed in our offer to purchase. Even then, it was only posted in her board and nowhere else for 3 days. We should've known that our house would've sold itself, in the hottest market in Ontario.
On closing, she refused to do a final walk through of our purchased home due to being at her cottage.
We are not even sure what we paid for? Literally all she did was meet us at houses while we walked through them. She was rude and passive aggressive at times. NEVER USING A REALTOR AGAIN. Keep that $ in your own pocket!!!
