A native of Alexandria, Dr. Sandy Franz graduated from LSU with a degree in Microbiology before heading north to attend LSU Medical School in Shreveport. After earning her Medical Degree in 1997, she pursued her love of caring for children and completed a Pediatric Residency with Brown University at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. After her residency, Dr. Franz returned home to Louisiana and has been practicing in Baton Rouge since. She is active in the pediatric community in Baton Rouge, participating in many quality initiatives centered around health care delivery to children. She enjoys working closely with the Children's Hospital as well as the Pediatric Residency program, and served as a faculty member for many years. Dr. Franz is licensed to practice in Louisiana, and joined The Baton Rouge Clinic's family of physicians in the Fall of 2017. She is currently accepting new families.
