I've been with this corporation for 7 years.
If I could rate them -5 stars I would. They do not maintain the property what so ever. The yard in front of my condo is mostly dirt and a few patches of weeds. They do not trim the trees. I am embarrassed to invite anyone over. I've asked them over and over again when maintenance will be done and I only get one reply: "I will look into this." I've been asking since 2016. I'm still waiting.

Totally Useless
I wish I could rate them in the negatives. They are rude, non-responsive and bullies.
I would never recommend them to anyone and in fact I would make sure that I warned people about there rude inappropriate and condescending attitude to the people that pay part of there salaries.

None responsive
We as home owners and pay high condo fees-for what? we have harassing neighbors-who are messy and loud (they rent) stole from our mailbox-spread lies and have a dog grooming business in basement (not legal) also a tree behind our house is about to fall onto our place and over a week and nothing done, they are useless

We have had PMA manage our property for the past 24 years and have been extremely pleased. The first tenant stayed for 19 years and the second one is still there. It does not all depend on PMA. The landlord is responsible for fixing problems when tenants complain and PMA passes on the complaints to the landlord for fixing. PMA is the messenger and their job is to manage the property, ensure that tenants pay the rent on time and look after the rental, etc. All too often the tenants damage properties and leave without paying the rent. All in all, PMA has provided an excellent service for us and our tenants.

Annoying to deal with
PMA Realty is certainly not there to serve the tenant. I have only dealt with them for a month and have nothing but heart-ache from them. They are not there to help you or make anything easy for you; they are only interested in serving themselves. I recommend tenants avoid renting from this property manager.

Crapping on their tenants since 1981...
Although PMA "manages" thousands of properties in Ottawa, and probably rakes in a ton of profit, their shabby head office is located in a rather run-down industrial area in Ottawa. Let that be your first warning sign.

Our landlord decided to turn over management of our condo to PMA management after we raised a stink about the crappy conditions we were living in. PMA's strategy was to ignore us, because unlike a landlord, a company seems more imposing, and maybe more impervious to its wretched tenants' complaints.

The paint was peeling off our walls, there was mold, our stove and dishwasher didn't work, the bathroom towel racks were broken off, light switches didn't have panels on them, windows had gaping holes, etc, etc. We were essentially living in an unfinished home; all of this with a 7 month old baby in the house.

Since PMA felt so invincible, and refused to do anything over the course of 30 days, we sent them a letter advising them that we were breaking our 1 year lease. They wrote us back saying we would have to pay out the rest of our lease (about 8 months worth), and that we had a 1 year lease by which we had to abide, and so on. I suppose they felt we had to keep our end of the bargain, even though they could not adhere to theirs - and the law.

So we called the City of Ottawa's Property Standards Division, and an agent for the city came in and did an assessment. The agent came up with a list of things that had to be repaired within a month, and failing that, PMA or the landlord would have to pay a $20,000 fine. Within a week PMA sent a paralegal to our house so they could weasel their way out of the lease.

By the way, The City of Ottawa's Property Standards Division can be your guardian angel if you're a renter. But I digress...

Long after we were gone they were still trying to bill us for electricity and parking (we forwarded our mail). PMA is corrupt, greedy, and undoubtedly on the side of their landlords... If you are a renter, stay away. If you are a fat, lazy, money-sucking landlord who abuses his tenants, this is the property management company for you.

Well put Sir! It seems that I am not the only one suffering from a case of "Slumlord Property Management" glad to see someone else has the guts to say what they think and speak the truth! It seems more and more as long as they get their money they don't care what conditions you are living in glad to see that you do!
