I used to love lamochi sweets but WTH is this? Only 3 tiny pieces of a half of an oreo, this wasn't like this before, WHAT HAPPENED?? I've been a regular customer i know that the oreo pieces are on every corner !!
Tried this to compare with Marry Me Mochi. I tried their creme brûlée as it was their best seller & it was soooooo sweet! The topping was also super sticky- super messy to eat. I thought it would have a hard shell like Marry Me Mochi after a while but it did not settle. The texture of the donut was chewy …maybe a little chewy.
Good costumer service tho.

My gf bought a dozen assorted mochi donuts for my bro's bday.
LaMochi has been around a while but for whatever reason, I've never ventured into the shop (someone brought em to a wedding I attended and I tried some back then).
Anyways, the notable flavours that ranked high for me:
Black sesame (my personal top rated)
Coffee
Chocolate
Oreo
Overall, the donuts did lean toward the sweet side as a whole but those 4 flavours stood out because they were less sweet than the others in the dozen.
The fruity pebbles flavour w/ all the fruit loops attached to it was kinda hard to eat haha. The creme brulee flavour didn't really remind me of creme brulee. The matcha and oreos one could've been a really great combo but the matcha wasn't dark enough for me lol.
It was cool to try a dozen flavours. Would eat em again if someone purchased these but don't think I'd go out of my way to buy for myself.

My go-to mochi donut spot in the GTA! They have a variety of flavours such as matcha Oreo, fruity pebbles, creme brûlée, and so many more!! Love the variety
Finally got to try mochi donuts! I’m not really a dessert person but my friend convinced me to try them and I’m glad I did.
The mochi donuts were made fresh per order which I really appreciated. It was crispy and fresh with the chewiness of the mochi inside. I tried the Matcha & Oreo and the Strawberry Pocky. They were both delicious. I would love to come back and try the other ones on their menu.
I really liked the ambiance of this place. They had cute neon lights and cute posters in the store. It was clean and tidy. The server was very attentive and friendly. She always smiled at every customer. Also, I liked the music they were playing inside, very ethereal and nostalgic. I do wish they had seats for us because I can only imagine having to wait a longer time for the donuts when it’s a busy time. It’d be nice to have somewhere to sit while waiting.

Decent mochi donuts but it takes way too long. You have to stand around waiting for them to make them for ages. I mean, like half an hour.
I do appreciate a nice, fresh, hot donut but I'm not sure it's worth it for the time wasted. And the toppings weren't that amazing either. All the doughnuts had the same dough, it was just icing that changed and I think that's sort of a cop-out. And they're not quite as fluffy-yet-dense and chewy as I like. Too expensive for what you get.
The staff were very helpful... but I guess physics dictates how long it takes to cook the donuts. I do think perhaps that they should have some already ready, and if people do not need hot donuts, they can have those.
Every other mochi donut I've had (and all have been better than these tbh) has been baked well in advance and all of them were fine.
Shop itself has almost no ambience. Nowhere to sit, that I remember. Not that you'd want to anyway, as it's full of people standing around waiting for doughnuts.

Love LaMochi donuts because they make your donuts fresh to order!! Sure you've got to wait a little bit (5-10 minutes) but you can't beat the fresh chewiness of the mochi.
Other stores have their mochi donuts sitting out and it tastes hard but LaMochi? Their donuts are chewy, fresh, plus the smell coming from the box of 6 is just intoxicating... I ate 3 mochi donuts in a row. Highly recommend the Creme Brulee(!!!), Mango and Original flavour.
I've also gotten delivery from LaMochi and their donuts still taste fresh and yummy! Obviously it's cheaper to come instore for their flat fee for their box sets instead of delivery.
There's a lot of parking for this area since they are located near the back of this plaza. There are no seating areas in this restaurant. More of a pick up and go type of deal.
