bar vendetta is a masterclass in hospitality. my friend and i sat at the bar and were taken care of by a bartender who was the definition of "textbook service"—so welcoming and charming, we honestly wished he’d just pull up a chair and join us.
he suggested pairing the meatballs with the cheesy pull-apart bread, and he was spot on. for the mains, the cacio e pepe crown was a literal work of art—incredibly thoughtful execution—and the rapini provided the perfect hit of freshness. this is the kind of place you can take anyone to and be guaranteed a lovely, warm evening.

Such a cute and cozy restaurant! All the lighting is very moody and they have candles on each table. I recommend making a reservation because they don’t have much seating available. Service was attentive and seamless. I highly recommend the bitter greens. We also tried the new potatoes, the flavour was great but the stracciatella got a bit soupy as the dish sat which threw me off. Both the trecce and tagliatelle were cooked perfectly al dente. Most of the pastas they offer are served in a butter sauce so they can be quite rich, but still tasty!
Bar Vendetta is a small upscale restaurant/bar on Dundas West. They have a small, but refined Italian cuisine menu with some delicious dishes included! My friends and I shared a few dishes, we started with the burrata and red pepper jelly as an appetizer and got an order of focaccia bread on the side. The dip came with sesame snaps which we thought was an odd combo, they were also really chewy and had a hard texture, so ordering the focaccia with it was the way to go!
For dinner, we got the Spaghetti Pomodoro and the Crown Cacio e Pepe. Both dishes were fresh, hot and very tasty. The pomodoro was flavourful and went perfectly with the ricotta and basil. The crown cacio e pepe is their most popular dish and for good reason. It is stuffed with Ricotta inside and folded so cute into a nice swirl! The lemon flavour balances out the buttery taste to the sauce, it all blends very well. Also very filling, despite there not being any protein!
We sat at the bar and found it very coney and aesthetic. Ambient lighting and set up would make this spot perfect for a date!

A very cute and cozy spot, I have been here twice already. The first time I visited in April, I was very impressed, basically love everything I ordered. Last week I visited again and the menu seemed changed from the last time, which is good.
I enjoyed the garlic bread. But the tomato bruschetta wasn’t as good as last time, don’t know if the recipe changed. Overall it’s still a pleasant experience.

Five out of five is rare for me but this was one of the best solo dining experiences I’ve ever had. I was greeted warmly and chose to sit in the front at the bar at about 5:30 on a Thursday. The wonderful Nicole served me and let me know I could get half orders of many of the dishes to try, which is what I did. Everything was fabulous, from the Palomino cocktail to the to-die-for miso gelato Nicole had me try on the house. Hands down the best gelato I’ve ever had, super creamy and smooth, tasted like carmel but better. Oh and the tuna crudo was probably my favorite, and loved the scallop, new potatoes (very rich), and rapini as well. Definitely going back.
Bar Vendetta is a gem! Cozy vibes, friendly staff, and a menu that balances creativity with comfort. The pasta is outstanding and the cocktails are top-notch. Perfect spot for a casual night out or a special date. Always a great experience!
Cozy spot, great vibes. Can double as a date spot but also a spot to grab eats with friends and catch up. The environment encourages talking.
The food was great. The menu is constantly rotated, but the cheesey bread is always there. And for good reason. This is one of those memorable plates that I will always come back to get. It had this cool mix of sweet and salty. The new potatoes were good and unique tasting; the cheese tasted like vanilla ice cream and the pistachios are very present. The Cacio e Pepe (another staple on the menu) was good but more lemony than I expected. The trecce was cool. The lemon tart though was absolutely delicious.

This place has a vibe 😎
Great for date night.
The ambiance, music and food was on point.
It has a chic retro feel to it and it’s very dimly lit inside. The service was polite and attentive and the food came out at a decent pace.
The cheesy bread was good but the Lobster Tagliatelle and Spaghetti Pomodoro were very very good. We tried the Sweet Corn Gelato which was good, definitely something different worth trying.
I’m putting this place on my top 10 this year. Will definitely go back.

My bf and I picked this spot for our date night (on a Sunday). Not sure how it is on other days, but it was perfect for us - some people but not too crowded - plenty of privacy, and people are quiet (not too quiet) enough to have an intimate convo w/o yelling at each other lol
The space is super small but there’s a patio in the back (we didn’t see how big it is), dimmed lights, very romantic. The service was great too - the lady serving us were friendly, experienced but not over the top - just the right amount. Too bad I didn’t ask her name.
The food was a good amount of portion and quite reasonable. We had a beef tar tar, two pastas (mine is a lobster pasted), a martini and a glass of wine, total comes to about $70 ish per person (before tip). And we were stuffed.
I’d go back.

Perfect spot for a date night. Delicious food, great service, and yummy drinks. Would come back again :)
Notable shoutout to the cheesy garlic bread and bitter greens salad that we still think about till this day.

Had a delicious dinner at bar vendetta tonight. Raymond took great care of us, giving great wine, recommendations, and being very attentive. The tuna, Crudo, bitter green salad, catchy Pepe crown pasta, and the tag the Italian with mushrooms were all perfection. Can’t wait to come back!
me and my boyfriend celebrated our anniversary here and we both agreed that this place was the perfect choice. The cheesy pull-apart garlic bread was the highlight of our night and I will come back just for it, the pasta dishes we picked were a bit underwhelming, but we loved their small plates!
