What a great experience! From the moment I walked in, Yasmen made me feel so welcome. She was incredibly warm and friendly, setting the tone for a genuinely authentic dining experience. Erika looked after me throughout the evening and her service was outstanding – attentive, kind and full of great recommendations.

The food was absolutely delicious. The birria tacos were packed with flavour, the mushroom & epazote quesadilla was amazing, and the horchata was one of the best I’ve had. Honestly, everything I tried was excellent.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with exceptional hospitality, Comal y Canela is a must-visit. Mil gracias, I’ll definitely be back! 🌮🇲🇽

It was so good. Best birria tacos i've had anywhere in Toronto and there are a lot of really good places but Comal y Canela wins it for me. the location is a bit far from central or downtown toronto area. However, it was certainly worth the trip. Definitely coming back next time if i'm in Toronto

A solid 4.5, Comal Y Canela packs a lot of flavour into food. Located near Jane and Lawrence, it’s not really anything else of note, definitely a local type of place. Overall, the service was a little disorganized but really friendly. For a Friday night, it was busy but not packed. We got $30 shrimp cocktail, everyone really enjoyed it, it was in a homemaker cocktail sauce. The Birria tacos were tremendous! 6 for $48, so pricey, but the best Birria I’ve ever had! My kids loved their meal, as did I. I think we’ll be back when we can have another treat meal!

I want to start by saying these were the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life!!!The tacos I got were the shrimp and birria tacos. These were the juiciest and most delicious and authentic tacos I’ve ever had. So much flavour and such quick service. I walked into the store and first of all the atmosphere was amazing the decor was amazing and we were welcomed by Logan the front staff and he was such a nice guy and very welcoming. I initially ordered to go but after the tacos were done I asked if I could eat in he got me and my cousin a table right away and gave us the chips and sauce and water on the side and was doing it all with a smile amazing customer service on his end. Then as we were eating the owner Yasmin came out to greet us and to add to the already amazing customer service it got better she was asking us how the meal was and was just so warm with us. Both customer service and quality of food were top notch would definitely suggest to anybody who loves good service and amazing food!!!!

This place has genuinely some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely the best in this city. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and packed with flavour. But what really makes it special is the owners. You can feel the heart they put into this place the second you walk in. They’re so kind, welcoming, and treat everyone like family. It’s rare to find food this good paired with people this genuine. Such a special little spot, we loved every moment 🤍

Birthday dinner on a Friday night. We made reservations online. It's been a while since our last visit and didn't realize there was a new entrance and expansion. Inside is colorful and beautiful. Food is delicious as always, no complaints. They have a cash discount, card fee and e-transfer option. No sure if that was always the case but it's certainly much more visible on this visit. We've ordered delivery and dined in several times. Will keep coming back when we can.

The Taco Birria are a must try. The green sauce is so good. The red has a good kick too. This restaurant is so well decorated inside and out. Great vibes. Very friendly staff who can speak Spanish. Small patio available in the summer. Cash discounts. E-transfers accepted.

After months of hearing about Comal y Canela, being nearby and in the mood for tacos I decided to give it a go. As soon as you walk in you get hit with an amazing atmosphere. Everyone enjoying the food, music going and staff friendly. The birria tacos were out of this world! You can taste the freshness in each ingredient, beef was juicy and tender. Enjoyed every aspect of being at the restaurant. Based on tacos being pricey wherever you go I believe the price to quality ratio was amazing. For 8 tacos it came out to $48. Cannot wait to come back shortly to enjoy more tacos! Keep up the good work!!

A gem for flavourful, authentic Mexican food. We got the birria tacos which came with a consume, and chicken al pastor. The owner was very friendly and even gave us free dessert at the end. It's in a sketchier area, but the vibes inside were welcoming and warm.

I have to say this is truly the best authentic Mexican food in the whole GTA, hands down.

You absolutely must try the Birria Tacos. They are so incredibly juicy and tender, the dipping soup they come with is unbelievably rich and delicious.

The service here is just fantastic, really top notch and genuine. Since I don't know much about Mexican dishes, I asked a ton of questions, and every staff member was happy to answer them and gave me amazing suggestions for appetizers. Honestly, this place is so good it totally deserves a Michelin star!

This place is a hidden gem for authentic Mexican food. We absolutely loved the birria tacos here. We devoured them so quickly. We also enjoyed the chicken al pastor and suadero tacos. Had to wait a bit to get a table, but service was excellent. They were so sweet, accommodating and offered us complementary sweets for waiting.

The food is outstanding. I’m Mexican, and I can confidently say everything is truly authentic. We ordered birria tacos and they were exceptional, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. We also tried the chilaquiles and they were honestly very good, just like back home. The café de olla was excellent too—warm, fragrant, and comforting. My partner got a quesadilla with chorizo and it looked amazing as well. Everything was worth it, and the prices are very fair for the quality.

My girlfriend & I went here after I went here the day before with co-workers. That's how much I loved it! The food and service was excellent and as per my Mexican girly—felt like a piece of home.
