I am a former surgeon in the US Army and recently transitioned to US Army Reserves after 15 years of active duty. I value my experiences in the military and am excited for a new chapter. As a bariatric and general surgeon, I value building long-term relationships with my patients to facilitate long-term success and health for the patient. I view myself as a member of the patient’s care team and respect and appreciate all input from other members of the team, especially the patient. My goal is to deliver comprehensive, quality medical care in coordination with the patient and other members of the care team. In the operating room, patient safety and positive outcomes are my highest priority. I continually strive to improve my surgical techniques and incorporate new surgical technology to improve patient safety and outcomes. My areas of expertise are primary bariatric surgery, revisional bariatric and foregut procedures, reflux procedures, complex hiatal hernia, minimally invasive hernia repair, robotic surgery, endoscopy and biliary disease, but have broad experience in all areas of general and trauma surgery as a result of my military background.
