Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is a Lifetime Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Fisher is a key opinion leader in the field, regularly consulting with industry leaders, conducting clinical trials, and publishing and lecturing internationally. After earning his degrees from Duke University, he completed his residency at Wills Eye Hospital. He also founded the Tecate Eye Surgery Clinic and volunteers for various organizations providing care to those in need.
