I’m Kevin Ukkonen, the owner of Bee’s Knees. With 18 years as a plumber and gas fitter, I transitioned to a management role in 2023. My mission is to build a company where people love to work while providing exceptional service and value to our customers in the North Okanagan. I grew up in Vernon, Lumby, and Coldstream, developing a passion for trades early on. That drive has fueled my commitment to creating a customer-focused, high-quality service business. When I’m not running Bee’s Knees, I’m spending time with my wife, Sylvana, and our kids: Kael, Gavin, who’s in school, and Viktor, who keeps us busy! We’re also excitedly awaiting our first baby girl. In my free time, I’m working on fixing up our home and small acreage in BX—a true fixer-upper project! I plan to raise my family there, keep chickens and bees, and get one cow for raw milk as a hobby. When I get a chance, I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, and spending quality time with my family. I’m passionate about justice and doing what’s right, guiding my values in life and business. I prefer local trips over big travel and have been trying to spend more time networking with BNI and the Vernon Chamber to build relationships with other local companies.
