A Brooklyn, NY native, Dr Drescher earned his bachelor's degree in biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and his medical degree at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Upon graduation from medical school in 1981, Dr Drescher completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and also completed fellowships in critical care and cardiology at the University of Miami.
