Tried the liquid sunshine tonight, love playbook!!Kato and Suzan were great servers and were very kind and energetic. Our bartenders G and megi were fantastic. I was there the night before and megi gave great service as well. Consistently great! I LOVE COMING HERE! They’re so fantastic.

I recently went to the Playbook with some friends for a long overdue catch-up, and it did not disappoint! We ordered a bunch of plates to share, and everything from the savory dishes to the amazing desserts were 10/10 (the honeybutter cake and tiramisu were my faves). Our service was also impeccable, we felt cared for throughout the nice and they were so friendly and helpful too! The bartender even made us a special drink which tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back and making it a regular spot.

This restaurant is absolutely delicious, especially the Sunday Special Menu, which is only $59. One person can order three dishes, which would normally cost over $100 for the same three dishes. The steak and truffle pasta are both amazing, and the side dishes are great too. The atmosphere is also wonderful. I really love this place!

The Playbook Commons is a great spot to come sit at the bar or enjoy for date night. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. I tried out a gin cocktail called the Green Thumb, as well as the arancini & hanger steak. All were very tasty choices.

Bart at the bar was my bartender/server & provided great service, insight, and conversation. Shoutout to him!

Would definitely come back on my next trip to Toronto!

It was my first time at Playbook and it was a great experience through and through. The space is gorgeous and they have huge screens to watch sports games. They also have a gluten free pasta option which was very accommodating, the Truffle Tagliatelle was delicious!

Big shoutout to the bartender Tusy! She’s clearly passionate about her work and it shows - the service she provided and the cocktails she crafted were top tier. Ask her to make you an amaretto sour and you won’t be disappointed!

We found this restaurant to be just about average. We ate here twice while staying in the Hotel X during the IndyCar weekend. We had been told by staff that this was a new restaurant and was fantastic. We definitely had a different experience. The pasta was well cooked, but my husband’s steak was served on a cold plate which made the steak cold within a few minutes. There is no real atmosphere and on both occasions we were happy to just eat our meal and leave. We only went back the second time as the other restaurant in the hotel - Roses Social, was closed. We had an early flight the next day and it was just easier to eat at the hotel.
If you can eat in Roses Social instead it’s a much nicer vibe with great food. There are so many good restaurants in Toronto, you don’t need to waste money in Playbook Commons
