Food is very mediocre and extremely overpriced for what it tastes like. The hundred egg noodle is a money grab and tastes salty (No better than Domino's chicken Alfredo because at least they got chicken in it). The rice is undercooked and hard to chew. The lamb is musky. The steak is better but salty too.
Very loud and hard to talk without screaming.
Service is below expectation too. I asked napkin for the 3 of us and yet got only 2.
I'm writing this review from the toilet right now because I had a stomachache after eating that rice. And my friends told me that they are being rushed to leave because the restaurant wants to make money with the next guests.
I regret paying them $50 for the tip.
Will not visit again. Will recommend anyone I know against coming here.

My original friend couldn’t join me for this meal due to dietary restrictions. But what a lovely surprise it turned out to be! Sammmarco is officially my favourite restaurant of 2025.

I was initially unsure of what to expect, especially after reading the mixed Google reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. From start to finish, it was an absolutely fantastic and divine evening. The service was attentive and gracious, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared. In my opinion, both the experience and the meal are well worth the price.

Sammmarco opened back in May, and it’s clear they’ve hit their stride.

What we ordered:
- ELORA ST MARTIN’S STRIPLOIN (surprisingly great marbling and probably the best bang for your buck)
- LA MORTAZZA (mortadella with truffle)
- CRUDO DI TONNO (tuna crudo and a sell out every night)
- PATATE FORMAGGIO (highly recommend but it is quite decadent for potatoes)
- WATERMELON ANGURIA SODA
- TORTA CIOCCOLATO (highly recommend; it’s moist, delicious and definitely sharable)

Dining at Sammarco was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment you step into the space, you’re struck by the sheer beauty of the room. The décor is sophisticated and modern. Some areas feature classic white table cloths, while others boast a dramatic dark marble tables surrounded by plush seating, or a stunning inlaid wood table with elegant geometric patterns. Soft lighting and carefully arranged floral displays create an atmosphere that is both luxurious and inviting.

The food was phenomenal across the board. A few highlights include the grilled calamari, perfectly tender with pangrattato that let the fresh flavor shine through while adding some crisp texture. The frito misto was another standout — an irresistible mix of delicately fried seafood, served with a 1/3 lemon which had the seeds/pulp removed, showing that no detail is overlooked.

The mid course was the inimitable 100-egg fettuccine alla scrofa. The sauce was rich and silky - beautifully balanced - coating the fresh noodles in layers of savory flavor. Kudos to SAMMARCO for showing their depth and creativity by featuring one knockout pasta to complement the menu.

Among the mains, the filetto was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, tender and seasoned with finesse. The branzino was equally impressive—moist, flaky, and accented by subtle herbs and tomato coulis that elevated the fish without overpowering it. The snow crab risotto was creamy and comforting, showcasing precisely the al dente bite you hope for in a great risotto.

To finish, the profiteroles were the ideal sweet note—light choux pastry filled with luscious cream and topped with decadent chocolate. My expectations were set so high at this point in the evening, I didn’t think it was possible that dessert could elevate the night to another plateau. Be prepared to transcend the realm of the typical dessert course.

Overall, Sammarco delivers not just an outstanding meal but an immersive dining experience in a beautiful setting, with exceptional service, and a master sommelier’s wine & cocktail list. Highly recommended for any special occasion or simply when you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable dinner.

I really wanted to love this place but instead was completely disappointed. The food was incredibly bland and extremely overpriced. We spent $100 dollars on cheese and egg pasa, something I could have easily made at home. I was expecting something memorable or elevated but instead it was the size of my small hand. The fries were over $20 dollars and tasted like the frozen kind you can get from a grocery store. Nothing about the flavours or presentation justified these ridiculous prices.

Service was mediocre at best. We were repeatedly pressured to order more, even after clearly saying we were good. On top of that, the server didn’t even acknowledge my boyfriend’s birthday, which was the entire reason we were there.

In total, we spent $500 and for that kind of money, we could have gone to an actual Michelin-starred restaurant and had an exceptional experience. If you want to blow your money on basic, flavorless food, this might be your place. But I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I don’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and had such amazing service. When I arrived, my table wasn’t ready so we were offered a seat in the private room while we wait for a table. The private room was so beautiful. We decided to have our whole meal there we were constantly checked up on and catered to. The staff was amazing. The food was amazing and the atmosphere and vibe were spectacular. We will definitely be back And thank you so much for the amazing date night

I usually don’t write reviews but I felt this needed one. This restaurant is definitely one of the best that I’ve seen for Italian fine dining around the world. I’ve travelled to many countries and tried many Italian restaurants but this place stood out to me.

The quality of the food was amazing, the service from the restaurant was outstanding. From the moment I entered, it’s the small details that really caught my attention - the door was opened for me, the hostesses greeted me very nicely, as soon as I mentioned my reservation name they seated right away even though the restaurant was very busy with no table available. The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu items and always checked up to see how we were doing.

The food was really tasty, I ordered the famous fettuccine pasta, caviar, sea bass, and dessert.

WOW this restaurant is so lovely! I’m a huge fan of the head chef’s restaurant he never disappoints. Every dish is perfectly made, and I got happiness while eating
I’m going to try all the menus in this restaurant.
I’m so happy to have found such a great restaurant in Toronto after such a long time. I can’t wait to visit here next time!

We knew as soon as we saw the doorman it was about to be a great evening. The inside was beautiful with such a modern look. Our server was pleasant and courteous. The food was delectable from our appetizers all the way through to dessert with tasty lattes and espressos. Our husbands were so happy with the large selection of Amaro. We will definitely be booking another reservation in the near future.

Overall I had a really lovely experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious. We started with the radicchio salad and small cheese stuffed pork called bombette. They encouraged sharing, which I was pleased to hear, so we shared the grilled meat plate and asparagus, and then ended the evening with their version of a fancy pineapple upside down cake.
The wine list is extensive (for bottles) and includes some great Ontario options.
The space itself is beautiful, but I only gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars because the restaurant was quite loud. Not with music, just by the design, so when people are talking the sound carries, and then everyone ends up talking loudly so they can hear each other.
Our server was great. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and was very professional.
