The greatest barber in NYC! I've been going to Eli for many years. In the past, there was always something I didn't like about my haircut with other barbers. However, Eli makes it perfect every time. He actually studies your noggin for the best outcome. He is very skilled and I highly recommend him.

Great guys, good vibes, and really solid haircuts. I have hair that’s a little difficult to work with on top and they handled it perfectly. Elly was awesome, super friendly, and gave a perfect fade on the sides. Did a good job of maintaining the natural look

First time going to this barbershop Jostin definitely knew what he was doing. My hair is not easy to cut. He was quick and efficient. The other barbers definitely made me feel like a regular and welcomed. Overall a great experience!!!

I used to get haircuts with Eli since 2020 he recently switched location to phd barbers and I followed him because he’s a very experienced barber! I have tried so many barbers but no one could get my haircut right like this guy did!!! He takes the extra 5 minutes for details and not many barbers do that highly recommend him.
Evryone is also vry friendly there and professional and they have great atmosphere.

Jostin hooked me up with a clean cut and one of the best fades I’ve had. Chill vibe, attention to detail, and just overall great work , definitely recommend him.

First haircut here in NY and it did not disappoint. Always worried about getting a new barber because of my hair texture which is very coarse, lots of barbers aren’t used to it. Martin gave me a great haircut in only 30 mins. Would highly recommend.

Martin in PRECISE with his fades. The times I’ve been to the shop, I noticed that all the barbers have their own personal skills & appear to do great cuts…However, I’d highly recommend Martin for a sharp cut/fade. Martin is personable, friendly & an excellent barber. Be back soon!!

Came In as a super last minute walk in and these guys took incredible care of me!

I have thinning hair so it can be hard for some barbers to cut / fade but Martin killed it and lined up my beard perfectly.

One of best high end barbershop experiences I’ve ever had! Arnold was professional and very knowledgeable! I got the PHD experience and omg that was so amazing! I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for a bit now to try a new style and Arnold gave great advice and really listened to what I was looking for. If you’re looking for a high end experience I highly recommend booking Arnold for a PHD experience.

I found PHD barbers after getting a messed up haircut at another barber shop close by. I booked with Arnold after reading the reviews online and he was very welcoming. I explained to him what happened at the other place and he already knew what to do to fix it.

I got a mid skin fade with a comb over and he did an amazing job. I’ll definitely be going back. Great vibe and highly recommend.

Wonderful place. Went in there for a clean up and took me on the spot. But generally you need an appointment. Arnold the owner is super nice. I will be back for a beard trim!

A couple weeks ago, I had a strong yearning for a great haircut as I was walking in the Avenue B neighborhood. I stopped in a few barber shops to check them out, I have never gone to a barber for a cut. I have only gone to salons and have thought for a long time what it would be like to go to a good barber. And this is what happened when I walked into PHD Barbers on Avenue B! Jay was the only barber there. He had time, and his energy was so terrific in the short period of time we discussed what I was looking for which he understood, I was very happy he had the time and took me in! And in fact, he is a great barber and I am so happy with the short cut he gave me! I have had a tremendous amount of compliments! What I asked for, he gave me more than that! He took his time, and was highly skilled, and his energy with his skills were and are exemplary! Thank you Jay, you are terrific! I'll see you in a few weeks!
