​We had a wonderful meal at Gadir Restaurant! Everything tasted unbelievably fresh and authentic.
​What we ordered:
​Grilled Sea Bream: Perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned.
Fried ​Shrimp with Fries: Crispy, delicious, and cooked to perfection.
​Hummus & Mutabbal: Rich, creamy, and made the traditional way—the perfect pairing for the seafood.

I’m a big fan of both seafood and good meat, and Ghadir Meat & Restaurant is one of the few places that satisfies both cravings in one stop. I loved being able to pick my own fish right from the counter — I chose a sea bass and asked for it to be grilled well with a crisp finish. They nailed it exactly the way I wanted.

If you enjoy choosing your own fish and having it prepared to your preference, this place is definitely worth a visit. On the meat side, there are plenty of kebab, grill, and combo options as well.

It’s a self‑serve setup: you place your order, pay, get a receipt with a number, and wait for it to be announced before picking up your food. Seating is open, so you can sit wherever you find a spot.

The restaurant gets busy on weekends and the ambience isn’t the highlight, but the food quality and price make it a satisfying experience overall.

A well known Lebanese restaurant with authentic Mediterranean food.
We tried the bakery and fish restaurant.
They bake one of the best Lahem-Ajeen in the GTA.
We tried grilled and fried fish, and they didn't disappoint.

They have a very busy butcher shop.
The shawarma restaurant looks delicious but we didn't try this time.

Both visits, we found parking spot, but others weren't very lucky.

There's a small seating area outside the restaurant overlooking the busy intersection.

This place is one of the best spots in town to enjoy a meal at any time of the day. What makes it especially unique is its fresh fish section. You can choose your own fish from a great selection, and they will either grill or fry it for you.

It’s a fantastic option for anyone who loves fresh seafood but may not be able to cook fish at home for various reasons. The quality, convenience, and variety make this place stand out. Highly recommended!

Travelled from downtown Toronto after viewing the IG stories to try their crispy fish etc. Ordered the freshly fried fish + lamb cubes wrap on a Friday evening. The fish had a 30 min wait time, and there was quite a line up for the wrap as well. Dinner time, so it made sense: Plenty of families coming in getting whole roasted chicken, looked pretty good while waiting in line! 🙂

However, the quality of the food was just average in my personal opinion. It was fresh, portion is decent but flavour wise.. I wasn’t blown away.

But otherwise it’s a really nice concept, reminiscent of a new york bodega. Supermarket x restaurant buried inside. You order and pay at the cashier and wait for your number to be called out. Service team was friendly. Worth exploring if you’re in the hood 🙂

Tried the sea bass, sea bream, red snapper, and shrimp, everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality in every dish.

The service was just as impressive. Haneen was very welcoming, and brother Sadam went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of.

Came here with friends visiting from Ottawa and they genuinely loved the experience. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Been wanting to try this restaurant for ages as we often drive by. Ordered online but had to phone to make sure fish order and meat order ready at the same time. Both people on the phone were friendly and helpful. Orders were ready on time which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did takeout but noticed seating seemed clean and fast food atmosphere. Surprisingly found parking which I have heard can be an issue and this was 6pm on a Sunday.
As for food, ample portions for the price.
Ordered the $8.99 fish and chips. Not your typical British fish and chips batter (spouse comes from a family owned fish and chips shop) but decent enough. Size reflects the price. Fries were good.
The kabab kalabi dinner - kabab was a touch salty but flavourful and rice, fries, salad, hummus and garlic sauce was fine.
The spicy cheese manakeesh was nice but didn’t really taste spicy.
Had to try the kibbeh which was a new taste for us - also was a touch salty but we loved it. Crunchy outside and meaty inside.
Would definitely be willing to try other dishes another time.

Food here is AMAZING!
Everything is made in house, so many options and departments.
One is side is sit-down restaurant, other is butcher-like shopping and grocery and take out.
So much to look at.
Entering here; you are taken into another world.
Truly amazing restaurant/shop.
The shawarmas are top notch DELICIOUS!
Would 100% recommend and return.

Great food and great taste. The BBQ chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and the grilled fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. Everything tasted authentic and well seasoned. Portions were good and service was friendly. Definitely a solid spot in Scarborough for Lebanese food. Would come back again. Please beware the wait time for fish specially on the weekends is long but you can enjoy bbq items while you wait for delicious fish. The staff and customer service is amazing. Parking is also a bit tricky and hard to find.

We usually order takeout, but today we decided to dine in. The food is good and the portions are generous. We also tried the sujuk sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious.

However, I was really concerned about the cleanliness of the place. The dining area, tables, floors, and washrooms were very dirty. Since this is the front of the restaurant, it raises concerns about the cleanliness of the staff and the kitchen—the parts we don’t see.

Additionally, the menu needs to be clearer. There are too many screens and too many options, which makes it confusing.

I think more attention should be given to simplifying the menu, improving the restaurant design, and updating the restaurant signage, its a very well known restaurant and if you really work on it..it would do great. Good luck

Came for the Viral Sujuk and Crispy Chicken sandwiches. That Sujuk was absolutely delicious and packed with flavours. The Chicken was also really good, the garlic was amazing. The place was very busy and is usually busy all day long. They have so many different selection of foods. Perfect one stop shop. If you haven’t tried this place before make sure to come check them out and find out why they’re so highly rated.

Ali, the owner of Ghadir's, is one of the most genuine, hard-working, and hospitable men I have met. I always knew Ghadir was a top-tier shawarma spot in Toronto (arguably the best); however, my recent experience with Ali and his team really set them far above all other spots. I first contacted Ali to see if he could serve shawarma as a late night station at my wedding. While he was extremely busy, he took the time to hear exactly what I wanted to ensure he could deliver. And deliver he did! He took the initiative to contact our wedding hall to first ensure that they could accommodate his station and then he attended the hall two weeks before the wedding to plan out exactly where he would set up and iron out the specifics. Everything was perfect as you see in the photos. All my guests were raving about how amazing the shawarma was and how friendly Alia and his team were. Honestly, this made our wedding, and we were so blown away by how above and beyond they went. I highly recommend Ghadir for either dining in or any catering events. Thank you so much, Ali & team! You made our day so special.
