Ghadir Meat and Restaurant is a unique concept that blends a full supermarket with a traditional Middle Eastern restaurant, making it a convenient and authentic spot to shop and dine at the same time. I recently had the chance to try several items from their menu, and it was a truly satisfying experience. Their ambience is great and I had wonderful time with family dining in.
I ordered their special BBQ whole chicken family meal as well as the whole chicken broasted family meal, and both were excellent. The BBQ chicken was absolutely brilliant, crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, with seasonings that really stood out. It had that authentic BBQ taste that balances smokiness and spices perfectly. The broasted chicken was equally impressive: golden, crispy, and juicy, with just the right crunch.
Each family meal also comes with a generous portion of fries, garlic sauce, and pickles, which make for the perfect complements. On top of that, you get three cans of pop, adding real value for the price. It’s a hearty, family friendly option that leaves everyone satisfied.
I also tried their chicken shawarma, which was fresh, flavorful, and nicely wrapped. It held its own, but the BBQ chicken definitely stole the show for me and is what I’d recommend most strongly.
Overall, Ghadir Meat and Restaurant is more than just a place to grab a bite, it’s a true taste of Middle Eastern hospitality and flavors. The authenticity, generous portions, and value for money make it a must visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their mixed kebabs and more of their grill selections next time around.

Ghadir Meat and Restaurant has a really good variety of dishes! We tried the chicken shawarma and chicken with rice—both were delicious. The hummus and toum were also so tasty. We did takeout but ended up sitting in the restaurant to enjoy our food, and the staff were super kind and friendly. Definitely a great spot!
I am a great fan of Gadhir since last five years. This is the first time I am disappointed with their BBQ whole chicken the way it was cooked. I think it’s supposed to be grilled more 5-10 minutes because when we are having it raw marination sauces are still there. It would have been okay if chicken size was small but it’s a big whole chicken and whole marinated chicken was not properly grilled. Other than chicken fries, bread, rice, garlic sauce was perfect as usual.
I took takeout otherwise I am sure if I could show it to them at their restaurant they could have done grill again for us.

This is really a market that sells prepared foods. You have to order at the cash. No choice given as to what toppings you want for your sandwich. He tells you everything but you have no idea what is being offered. They could not show you the bread for the sandwich (pita or laffa). The whole ordering is rushed and the guy at the cash could not care less.
While waiting for the sandwich (they call your number) we saw the worker preparing the sandwich answer the phone with his gloved hand and then go back to making sandwiches without changing his gloves. Disgusting! Why does the worker making the sandwiches need a landline anyway? I mentioned this to the person behind the cash and he sloughed me off with no apologies or the offer to replace the sandwiches. He did not seem surprised that this happened either.
The chicken shawarma was absolutely awful. Small amount of dry meat flavorless meat, thin falling apart pita and a lot of toppings that overwhelm the small amount of meat. The falafel sandwich was even worse. Same awful pita, same awful toppings and soggy disgusting falafel balls.
With multiple good shawarma places all over that stretch of Lawrence Avenue, I have no idea how this place stays open. Considering their hygiene when making the sandwiches, I am amazed public health has not shut them down.

We asked for extra toum (garlic sauce) and so on our wrap they gave us none at all to stick it to us.
It tastes not bad if you are lucky enough to get some.
The chicken was also ridiculously dry.
Thought it was our place but never again.

A Hidden Gem for Healthy and Delicious Fish Dishes!
My wife and I recently visited Ghadir Meat & Restaurant for a healthy breakfast, and the experience blew us away. Although it’s known for its meat dishes, its fish menu deserves a spotlight!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The setting is simple, clean, and naturally cozy, creating the perfect environment for a peaceful meal. What made our experience even better was the order-taker—a lovely young lady who was exceptionally kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain every item on the menu in detail and made us feel completely at home.
We ordered two grilled seabreams with hummus, scrambled eggs, and tea. I had requested that everything be cooked in olive oil to keep it light and healthy, and they happily accommodated. The fish was perfectly grilled—tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of seasoning. The hummus was creamy and fresh, and the scrambled eggs were fluffy and rich, balancing the meal beautifully. Every bite was mouthwatering and satisfying.
You can genuinely taste the quality and care in their cooking. This place is a fantastic option for healthy yet delicious meals, especially for seafood lovers.
We left feeling nourished and happy and are already looking forward to our next visit.
I highly recommend Ghadir Meat & Restaurant — especially for their fish dishes. You won’t be disappointed

Ghadir felt like a mini Lebanon, it had that authentic Middle Eastern market vibe. They've got a grocery store, bakery, sweets, shawarma, and even a fish section.
We tried the beef and chicken shawarma, along with a beef rice bowl, and the flavors were on point. The beef was fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor-definitely the standout over the chicken. The rice bowl was just as good, with tender, flavorful beef and perfectly seasoned rice.
We totally forgot to try the Manakeesh, but we heard it's amazing...!
If you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors, generous portions, and variety, this spot won't disappoint. Definitely coming back!

Great spot for authentic Middle Eastern food! The hummus was rich and flavorful, the falafel perfectly crispy, and the mixed grill was juicy and well-seasoned. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. Generous portions at a fair price — definitely worth a visit!
Ghadir is an absolute standout! One of the best spots in Scarborough for shawarma. Their chicken and beef shawarmas are packed with flavour—tender and juicy meat perfectly wrapped in a pita that takes every bite to the next level. The shawarmas come with a good variety of fresh toppings and sauces. Their chicken fajitas are also great. The broasted chicken is amazing. It's super juicy, well battered and seasoned, and bursting with flavour. We get the family size broasted chicken and it comes with a whole chicken cut into 8 pieces, hot and yummy fries, garlic sauce and pickles. Ghadir always delivers a delicious Middle Eastern experience. They also have a dining area, so bring your family and friends! Highly recommended!

This is my favorite place. I’ve been coming here for years, and I truly love it. The staff and food are always amazing. The team is so kind and welcoming, it always brightens my day just walking in. You can really feel the love in the food, and it makes every meal special. Thank you for Ghadir and the people who make it so special!! ❤️
4.4 / 5 had a great takeout meal that filled me for the day.
Place is a like a middle eastern market store. Service is okay, but food (fresh made, butcher, and grocery) provide so many options.
Order at counter and bring your bill to the food guys. I got double meat. Was spicy and tasty (I got spicy garlic).
Thanks to the manager / owner who got me the chocolate eclair himself. It’s busy and a bit chaotic. But fun. Great Arab atmosphere.

Ordered 3 grilled fish for $ 4.99 lbs and they cheated and charge us for cleaning & grilling $11.99, we paid $67 for the order other than it’s very expensive it tasted so bad, seasoning was terrible. Besides the fish their meat pizza is bad too. Shawarma too is too expensive. Will NOT GO BACK EVER.
The worst food I have ever tried!!!!! My and my husband's stomachs are burning for 24 hours from food!!! and very dirty place to eat!!!!
A combination grocery store/ restaurant. You order at the cash and pick up the order across the isle. There are plenty of tables in the back for sitting and eating.
Both the chicken shawarma and the falafel wraps were excellent. The service was fast and friendly

I've been going to this restaurant for a few years now and their food is always good. The prices are reasonable, and their garlic sauce is simply wonderful.
People cheat there today I went there and food and quality of chicken was not fresh and they gave me old meat smell of food was not good And I feel like vomit after eating don’t go there
