Joy is a passionate teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. She fosters a positive, encouraging environment that builds technical skill, artistic expression, and confidence. With a degree in Education from the University of Calgary and a Master's in Special Education from UBC, Joy tailors her lessons to suit each student's learning style and goals. She prepares students for exams, recitals, or simply playing for fun, always emphasizing a balanced approach of technique and creativity. Joy also teaches Grade 5 for the Calgary Board of Education and enjoys gardening, traveling, and attending Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra performances.
