Amiel Bethel, MD, FAANS, FACS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon providing expert care at TidalHealth Neurosurgery in Salisbury, Md. After completing his undergraduate education at Princeton University, Dr. Bethel earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical System, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a research fellowship in neurosurgery/anesthesia at the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Bethel is board-certified by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. He has held multiple faculty appointments, authored numerous clinical publications, and presented extensively on neurosurgical topics.
