I was so excited to bring my husband as he loves biscuits and gravy but they had none. :((
Ordered Sausage Biscuit and a Monte Cristo. Both were really good! Sat outside at the cute little tables they have set up. Coffee was good too. Nice staff.

sleepy pete’s serves hefty, filling, and pretty heavy-tasting breakfast options. they prepared every order individually / one by one, so it was quite slow (not good if you’re in a rush) but everything was served super fresh and piping hot.

my top choice would be the sausage breakfast sandwich: the very heavy flavours of the sausage, cheese, and biscuit were balanced DELICIOUSLY by the hot honey. the sandwich was lathered generously with it, so much so that there was hot honey dripping from the warm, soft, moist, mushy biscuit (but it still held its integrity well). it was a tiny bit spicy, but you could shake it up even more with a sharp and vinegary kick by splashing some tabasco onto the sandwich. i found that the meatiness of the sausage and saltiness of the cheese was dominated by the prominent sweet, gooey/sticky, and addictive hot honey.

the biscuits and gravy is also yummy, but i found it was wayyy to heavy and the flavour was too intense for a first meal early in the morning. it didn’t have the same sweet balance that the sandwich had from the hot honey, so i got a bit fatigued after a few bites. the gravy was SWIMMINGGG with large chunks of sausage and bacon (maybe even too much???), and it had a very strong peppery taste. i loved the biscuits submerged inside though, it was such a comforting, mushy texture, and had its own distinct buttery flavour.

This place was our first stop in the Kensington Market area. We had the sausage biscuit which was a jalapeño cheddar biscuit with. Chicken sausage, egg, and cheese. It was the BEST breakfast we had during our 5 day trip to Toronto! Highly recommend. Not a lot of seating but they have a few tables outside.

This is a little sandwich shop tucked away a solid 30 min walk from the business area of TO. I had the Viet Coffee and sausage and egg on a regular biscuit. The coffee was excellent, the sandwich also very good but definitely more on the heavier side. I ate this before work (early morning) and wasn't hungry again until 3 pm😂 The service could have been better imo. She was nice but didn't give the warmest welcome or smile all that much. I knocked off some points for that since that's very important to me. Otherwise though, a solid and hearty breakfast!

Sleepy Pete’s is a fantastic little breakfast spot in the heart of Kensington Market, serving up some of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. The biscuits are delicious, the sandwiches are top-notch, and the sleeper pick is definitely the biscuits and gravy. The coffee’s solid not the place to go if you just want a coffee, but it goes down well with breakfast. If you’re in the area around breakfast time, pop in. You won’t regret it.

If you're looking for a big back breakfast meal, Sleepy Pete’s breakfast sausage is where it's at. I tried both the buttermilk and jalapeño versions, and they’re absolutely delicious. The warm, buttery biscuit with hot honey drizzled over the egg and sausage is the perfect combination. I’ll definitely be back for more, though keep in mind that seating is quite limited.

Been here twice now and oh my god these sandwiches are so delicious. I’m generally not a fan of bacon but their bacon and egg on a cheddar jalapeño biscuit is absolutely insane. Their sausage and egg is also great for those who don’t eat pork but the bacon is just so thick, flavourful, and the perfect texture.

I quite like the cash special that give you a sandwich, hash brown, and coffee for $13. Otherwise it’s a tiny bit pricy but the sandwiches are so massive and filling.

Definitely a new favourite spot for me. Will be making regular visits from now on.

I wasn't too big of a fan of the montecristo sandwich but I loved the egg and bacon breakfast sandwich. The bacon was thick and I really liked that you can pick which biscuit you wanted for the bread. The jalapeno cheddar biscuit really elevates the flavor to another level. Overall a great place to hit that breakfast sandwich craving.

This was definitely an enjoyable breakfast sandwich, very tasty! Deducted a point as it was a bit dry, which is understandable given the biscuit. The honey was a nice touch. I added ketchup to have some more "sauce". Both myself and my partner enjoyed the sausage sandwich better to the bacon. We had it on the original biscuit. The interior has some bar seating, but was fully taken on Sunday morning. We went in the winter, & it was not heated so a bit cold inside- but ultimately, a really nice & quaint atmosphere.

Sausage and egg was great tasting. A bit pricey, but it’s a local small business. Not a skimpy sandwich, decently sized.

Best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, hands down!!!! I came from London and was recommended to try this and I'm actually quite upset I won't be able to eat this more! Love the size, love the taste, love all of it!

Loved the breakfast sandwiches here! Very tasty and high quality. It is definity worth trying out although it is on the pricier side. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have bacon given that it was brunch time. We will be back to try it again! Orange juice was very fresh and tasty.

edit: went back a second time and it was just as delicious. this time was a quiet weekday morning and it took about five minutes to get my sandwich. excellent service and amazing food.

soooo good. i really like the sausage, egg, and cheese on buttermilk biscuit. i thought the hashbrown could use some salt. overall, a tasty experience.

Located in the heart of Kensington market, this small joint serves various breakfast sandwiches on biscuits. They gave me the option of jalapeno cheddar or buttermilk biscuit.

The girl at the counter acted like she didn't want to be there, and she seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the menu.

I got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with a jalapeno cheddar biscuit. It came with a perfectly runny egg. I found a biscuit to be quite sweet and the taste completely overpowered the egg (which was not salted) and the cheese. I wouldn't say it's the best breakfast sandwich I had, but I appreciate that they made it fresh.

The price for a breakfast sandwich was higher/average for a local spot, about $10 after tax.

There's self-serve water, salsa, ketchup and hot sauce if you choose to dine in.
