I am a consumer with Affordable At Home Care Salem. Amber quickly arranged an in-home consultation to assess my needs. This was so that she could match me with the best possible caretaker. She matched me with Jamila. She comes out four days a week. She is timely, dependable, thoughtful, organized, caring, and always checks with me to make sure I'm happy with what she's doing. I'm so happy with Jamila and the way she cares for me and my home. But I'm also very happy with the way Amber expresses her Care and concern for me and my Home as well. I can't say enough positive things for these two ladies!

I have been impressed with Affordable At-home care's professionalism during the intake process as well as the constant update on availability and scheduling of caregivers. We needed a caregiver for my mother and I specifically needed somebody to help with transfers as the biggest element of the job. Yulia, the assigned caregiver was a great caregiver, with a lot of empathy and was able to provide attention. She went above and beyond in her care responsibilities, especially when it came to working closely with the hospice bath aids and ensuring maximum comfort for my mother. I felt comfortable leaving my mother in her care, if I had to run errands etc. The important part of choosing the right caregiver is to communicate expectations upfront (about the job, the patient and your home situation) since every case is different and monitor very closely during the initial period. The other critical part is that we have to work around schedules and sometimes may not get full coverage from a single caregiver - that's a reality in the caregiving world.

I started with Affordable At Home Care in February of this year as Administrator of Infusion Services . I was ending a 40 year career with another agency that was closing. I wanted to make sure my clients and caregivers found a new place to call home and keep working with their clients and I found that new home for them all at Affordable At Home Care. In doing so I had the great pleasure of meeting Stephanie and Peter who came to also invite me to join their company and start up a new division of there company in Infusion Home Care Services. They also invited my nurse Terri to be the director of infusion services. We are up and running and we are asked everyday is there anything we can do to help you. This is a real family oriented company and I am proud to call it home now.

I have worked for Affordable Care In Salem for about 4 months now and it’s one of best in home care agencies I have ever worked for in my 25 years of caregiving . Turk is a very supportive and understanding Supervisor always there to listen and help when needed . I could not have asked for a better Boss or Place of employment.
