Got my order today and just wanted to say thanks for the great experience buying with you. Order was sent fast and you allowed me to add an item last minute. When the box arrived, I acclimated the four corals for temp, acclimated for water and then dipped. I did not notice even one hitchhiker. Corals have been in my tank for about 4 hours now and everything is already opened up and looking great.
Not my first time ordering from Queen City Corals, but this is the largest order I have placed with them. Everything was meticulously put through the bottoms of frag cups on drags and then bagged to keep them stable and safe!!!! Super impressed with this. I had zero damaged to even the fragile corals I had ordered!!!!! Super fast shipping, great prices, and an awesome selection. Definitely highly recommend them. All the corals were healthy and vibrant upon receiving them and all opened within ours of being placed in my tank!
I really like this vendor (QCC) The corals I purchase looks way better thank how I imagine. After receiving my shipment, and a 15 min dip my corals were fully opened within half an hr, I will be doing more business with this vendor.
Extremely happy that they were my first purchase online for corals and will be happy to order from them again. Ordered the mystery box #3, got the common blue light torch. Maybe next time I'll get the rare one. And 10$ mystery frag, green tip orange birdsnest. Not sure the direction I want to go so mystery coral is awesome. Corals looked healthy and nicely double bagged, couple hours after getting them in the tank both corals had nice polyp extension and great colors.
I recently purchased a mystery box from QCC and the coral arrived fine but died several days later I contacted QCC and explained. They messaged back and said we got you covered and sent me a replacement link to use with my next order. So i ordered mystery box 3 and i got a beautiful multi head blue light torch and my replacement torch which is even bigger snd nicer than the one that died. This company is awesome has beautiful corals and takes care of their customers. Visit there site snd get some amazing corals to fill your tank.
This shop has became my go to shop in Charlotte for anything corals. The available selection of corals are top notch and the staff are always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Not to mention the coral pricing is the best deal you'll find in town. Everything that I've purchased from them have been healthy and doing great. I highly recommend anyone nearby to visit this place. You won't be disappointed.
My order was received in a timely manner. The way they had everything packed in the shipping box was incredible. They took the time to put the flags and little cups with holes in the bottom of them and rubber band, the bottom part of the flags to keep them from coming loose. It was an excellent. . It was an excellent job. Everything that I ordered from them. I received in excellent condition. I will definitely be ordering from them again.!!!😊😊😊😊
Received my order today and bar none the absolute best packaging for corals I've ever seen. Everything was secure and tightly packed so it wouldn't move around in the box. All corals triple bagged placed in cups so they wouldn't rub the bags. After dipping all the corals there were ZERO hitchhiker's. Clean frags!! Will definitely purchase again from QCC
I was a first-time customer of Queen City Corals and decided to purchase two Black Light Anemones on 02/03/2025. My order was shipped on 02/04/2025 (Order #89196) and delivered on 02/05/2025 at 10:20 AM.
Given the many five-star reviews, I had high expectations. Their website claims a 99% Live Arrival Guarantee, that staff are trained to the highest standard of corals, and that each coral is securely triple-bagged and encapsulated in specific specimen containers to ensure live arrival. Unfortunately, these so-called commitments proved to be untrue.
Upon opening my package, I was immediately hit with a foul odor coming from each bag. The anemones displayed clear signs of distress, including open mouths, faded coloration, shrunken and deflated tentacles, a lack of response to stimuli, and visible tears on their bodies. The only positive aspect of my order was the mystery frags—a Birdsnest and a Neon Green Acropora—but even those were underwhelming.
I immediately contacted Queen City Corals' support team, but their response time was slow. When I called and spoke with the manager, I was assured that the anemones "just look pissed" but would recover after acclimation. Despite following the acclimation process exactly as instructed, the anemones began to deteriorate and melt in my tank. I attached images as evidence.
To prevent further damage to my reef tank’s water quality, I removed the anemones and reached out to Queen City Corals again, seeking guidance on how they would rectify the situation. After receiving no response, I followed up the next day. When I called, a representative assured me that the manager would return my call. Hours passed with no response. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I called again and was once more told the manager would "look into it."
After much back and forth, they finally issued a refund for the Black Light Anemones but refused to refund the shipping cost—even though the corals were dead on arrival. While I understand that shipping costs are a shared loss, this situation clearly warranted a full refund for the entire order. Although a partial refund is better than nothing, the entire experience highlighted Queen City Corals' lack of communication, poor product quality, and false advertising. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, such as Aqua SD or World Wide Corals, for better quality and service.

Totally great experience at QCC. My delivery was fast and my corals arrived well packed, healthy and clean! I have ordered from them twice and each time I've very very satisfied with purchase and customer service. I definitely recommend QCC and will definitely be using them for my next order. Highly recommended!
This is by far my favorite shop in Charlotte for corals. I’m a very regular client and love the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are also very passionate about the hobby. Pricing is excellent. Better than any online shops. Although they do in fact ship nationwide I have the benefit a d pleasure of visiting very regularly. It’s my happy place where I get to relax and peruse some of the finest corals the world has to offer. I have a 50 gallon nano tank stocked with corals exclusively from QCC and they are currently building me a 250 gallon tank in my new home. They have handled the build out from beginning to end while teaching me the ropes through weekly or bimonthly maintenance visits. All to say, this may be one the best coral shops in the country and I feel fortunate to have them in my backyard right here in Charlotte.
