Checked out the new Chica’s Chicken in Whitby and the burger was incredible! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Just a heads up—it’s a small, cozy spot with stool seating for about 6 people, so it's perfect for a quick bite or takeout. Definitely coming back!

Tried Chica’s Chicken in Whitby for the first time and it honestly blew me away.

There’s a reason they’re Michelin-recognized — the chicken is super fresh, crispy, and juicy every single bite. You can really taste that it’s made to order.

I got the OG Mild Sando (my favourite), the Hot Honey Sando, and a few boneless bites. The Buffalo and Sweet Heat bites were amazing, and the Lemon Pepper was really flavourful too.

Also love that they have $10 sando deals on Mondays and Tuesdays — so affordable for the quality you get.

If you’re in Whitby, this spot is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be coming back for sure! 🍗🔥

Its been on my list for a long time and in so happy i tried this place! It’s delicious, definitely worth trying! I think the waffle fries (not photographed) are alright, i don’t think I would get it again, but as for the sandwhich, highly suggest it! Cant wait to try the other sandos they have on the menu!

Chica’s Chicken in Whitby is a small but mighty spot that’s quickly making a name for itself with its flavorful fried chicken. We ordered takeout and tried a few items from their menu, the 4 piece crispy chicken, OG Bites in Sweet Heat flavor, and the OG Chicken Sandwich with a mild spice level.

The food overall was really good, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, exactly how fried chicken should be. The Sweet Heat OG Bites had that perfect balance of sweetness and spice, packing great flavor in every bite. The OG Chicken Sandwich was also delicious and well put together, with a soft bun and juicy chicken fillet inside. However, even though we ordered mild, it was still a bit spicy, especially for the kids.

A small suggestion would be to serve the spice mix separately, especially for families or those with milder taste preferences. That way, customers can sprinkle on the spice according to their liking without losing the restaurant’s signature flavor.

The place itself is quite small, mainly suited for takeout, but it’s clear they’re focused on quality over quantity. The staff were polite and efficient, and the food felt fresh and well prepared.

Overall, Chica’s Chicken is a great addition to Whitby’s food scene, serving up bold, flavorful fried chicken that stands out. With a bit more flexibility on the spice levels, it could easily become one of the top go to spots in the area for families and fried chicken lovers alike.

Chica's Chicken absolutely nailed it with their Hot OG Sando on a Brioche Bun! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice had just the right kick without being overwhelming, and the bun held everything together perfectly without getting soggy. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every bite. Friendly service and a great vibe make the whole experience even better. Parking in front of the store and on the road right beside it. Definitely one of the best Nashville chicken sandwiches I've had--already looking forward to coming back!

I can’t believe I have been sleeping on Chica’s. It’s our new favourite chicken spot! We have driven by this place so many times but never went until now. They have the best Cajun waffle fries filled with flavour and super crispy. The soft brioche bun goes perfectly with the flavour and crisp that is given from the fried chicken. I don’t think I can ever have a chicken sandwich from another place again. The service, music and vibe in the place was good. Portions were huge. There is limited seating but still available if you want to dine in. Definitely give this place a shot.

I have to say this place is fire🔥The chicken is well seasoned and fresh. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get fried chicken in the Durham region. The workers are super nice and welcoming. Will definitely be returning back for more fried goodness😋

Restaurant Review

The food here is undeniably good—flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The chicken sandwiches, though on the smaller side, pack a punch in taste and are clearly the highlight. However, the overall experience left something to be desired.

When we arrived, we were told there would be a 15-minute wait, despite the fact that there were only two other customers in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for two meals, which was frustrating and unnecessary given the lack of a crowd. It felt like the staff was disorganized, which took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable visit.

Another detail worth mentioning: one of the employees was wearing a hairnet, but it didn’t even cover half of her hair. It made me wonder why she was wearing it at all if it wasn’t being used properly. Cleanliness and attention to detail are just as important as good food in any restaurant setting.

While I’ll definitely be back in the future to enjoy the flavors again, I’m hoping to see improvements in how the restaurant is managed and run. This spot has a lot of potential, but they need to get their service and standards up to match the quality of their food.

Just as good as the Toronto Location!! The chicken was made fresh to order and cooked perfectly ! I got the sweet heat sando! And it was amazing! The service was also fantastic! The staff were very welcoming and very engaging. Will definitely be back

This is definitely the best chicken sandwich I’ve had! Packed with flavour and served fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I got the OJ sando with medium-hot spice level. It definitely had a kick to it. The waffle fries were also amazing, can never go wrong with those.

Welcome to Whitby, Chica's Chicken!

I dropped in to this new location during their soft opening period and was impressed with their flavours. My friend and I had their Bone-In, Nashville-Spiced Chicken, OG Bites, and OG Nashville-Spiced Sandwich, along with a few sides.

Their Nashville Spiced Fried Chicken was ultra crispy and delicious. The pieces were huge and moist. This 2pc meal included a small side of choice, pickles, bread, and sauce.

We also had their OG Bites - boneless pieces of crispy chicken, tossed in Nashville spices. Yummy!

Their OG Nashville-Spiced Sandwich was another winner, topped with slaw, pickles, and Chica's sauce, served on Texas toast but we opted for a brioche bun instead.

Our sides included a great slaw, crispy waffle fries, and delicious deep fried pickles. All really good!

Everything was cooked to order, ensuring freshness. The chicken had great crispy texture and flavour. Nashville style chicken is usually quite spicy but you have a choice of heat level. When they say hot, they mean HOT!

This was the BEST chicken sandwich I've ever had. We got the OG Sandwich (mild medium) and the chicken bites (medium) and it was a religious experience. The light crunchy batter drizzled with hot sauce paired with the coleslaw and soft bread was absolute perfection. The chicken in the sandwich AND bites was fall apart tender with the crunchiest shell.

For a place that just opened, I was so impressed they hit it out of the park on the first try. I'll 100% be returning next weekend to try another sandwich!
