This is the best thing ever, I can't believe that I have never experienced this before! It is so good! I would give this a 12/10 if I could. Everything was surprisingly amazing and exceeded my expectations. The food, the drinks, the dessert was all so yummy! The meat is so amazing, and you can eat so much of it. It is expensive but so worth it. The mango sago was also so delicious and actually what it was supposed to be like. The passion fruit tea was also so refreshing and went really well with the meal! The atmosphere was so nice, soft lighting and positive vibes all around. Great for going with a group of 3 or 4! The time limit was not at all a problem. I feel like I just ate a 24K gold cow that was also a professional weightlifter! I don't feel gross at all after eating that much. There is lots of veggie options and different dishes that are included if you want to branch out! Would love to come back, great experience and amazing and inclusive for all ages!

Great place to go in a group. Went for a birthday party with 9 people. Servers are fast and there’s a nice variety of items to choose from. Something for everyone really, not just raw food but cooked as well like chicken wings and fried shrimp!

Had to reserve at least 3 days in advance to take advantage of the free birthday cake offer which they have to order the cake in advance. The basque cheesecake we got was really good!!

From the moment we were seated, our server Selina was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Although we were seated in a corner of the restaurant, Selina ensured we were never overlooked. Throughout the entire meal, she attentively checked in with us, took our orders, refilled our water, and promptly cleared dishes-all with care.
The beef short rib and other beef dishes were tender and tasty. The new fried cod dish was a hit with the kids, and the clams in sake were flavorful.
Unfortunately, we did encounter a mishap with the salad bowls we ordered. The first bowl contained small insects, which was quite unpleasant. Selina replaced it quickly, but the second and third bowls also had the same issue. We decided to forgo the salad altogether. We appreciate that the acting manager, Jacky, apologized and assured us that our feedback would be passed on to the kitchen staff.
Despite the issue, the overall experience was still wonderful.

Great variety of fresh meats, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the fried fish was crispy on the outside and flavorful. Making a reservation online was easy, and the seating was very comfortable. The server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

All u can eat Yakiniku. Not bad but no need to order the silver grade! The black grade is good value. Silver supposed u can choose some wagyu beef! I think they are not all wagyu beef!
Overall is ok! Business is good too! Can try.

The Black Angus AYCE (All You Can Eat) option at Shinta Japanese BBQ (Richmond Hill) was good.

We had a variety of meats (beef, pork, and seafood), veggies, pineapple, mini bibimbap, tempura udon, chicken kaarage, and desserts (Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream or Melona Ice Cream Bar) from the Black Angus AYCE menu options.

Our favourite meats were the Prime Kalbi Short Rib, Miso Toro Beef, Black Pepper Short Rib Strips, Marinated Steak with House Special Sauce, and Home-made Berkshire Sausage :)

Heads up, the Seafood Medley, Marinated Salmon, and Enoki Mushroom that come in a tin foil container took a long time to cook. Even though we had the heat on high, it took a while before the Seafood and Enoki Mushrooms got cooked. The Marinated Salmon and Enoki Mushrooms were good. The Seafood Medley was okay.

The Chicken Kaarage and Takoyaki were okay.

The Mini Bibimbap and Tempura Udon were delicious.

The Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream and Melona Ice Cream Bar were good.

The services are great!! Friendly staff! Foods are good too. Arrived at 12:15pm. Quite busy and seems popularly. 2 hours limit AYCE. Fair.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. We went there as soon as they were open for lunch. It cost us $31 each for AYCE which is good with the food selections. Meat were flavorful and fresh. Service was quick as well. Restaurant is modern and clean. We will definitely go there again. ❤️

I really enjoyed my dining experience at Shinta. The prime short rib was nicely marinated and very tender! The new marinated steak was delicious as well. I also had the Japanese wagyu which was incredible! Overall a great experience with attentive service to match

This was my second visit to Shinta Richmond Hill. On my first visit, I tried the Wagyu Menu, but I found it a bit too oily when having only Wagyu. The server recommended trying the Gold Menu instead and ordering a Wagyu dish on the side for a more balanced experience. I followed his advice this time, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience!

Everything was absolutely amazing, the quality of the food, the flavors, and the overall dining experience. The service was excellent; the staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant was also very clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere.

I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Shinta is a top choice for Japanese BBQ, offering a wide menu with excellent wagyu options. They have three all-you-can-eat tiers: Gold (premium cuts), Silver, and Black (basic but solid). Prices are higher on weekends and holidays. While the service was generally efficient—grills were changed regularly—there were occasional mix-ups, and we waited 30 minutes for a wine bottle.

Dessert options are limited to vanilla soft-serve or a Melona popsicle. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately, though reservations are recommended for larger groups. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with plenty of free parking nearby.

Went here for a special celebration and impressed with the attentive staff and the quick service. Jacky was awesome, whenever he sees me hold the menu he's already at our table! We especially loved the Prime Kalbi and beef tongue. Will definitely be back!

The only one we didn't like very much was the strong tasting and smelling sauce they put on the lamb and marinated steak, like cumin/curry spice (not sure).

I'd recommend Shinta for anyone craving a quality Japanese BBQ meal. This is one of my favorite spots for Japanese BBQ in the city, particularly because they offer great wagyu options, and an overall wide selection of menu items. However, the dessert selection here was just limited to a choice of either soft serve vanilla ice cream or a Melona popsicle. While not terrible, a bit more variety would have been nice.

They have three all-you-can-eat menu tiers: Gold, Silver, and Black. The Gold option offers the most premium cuts of meat, which is perfect for those looking to indulge, while the Black being more basic, but still offers a solid selection. Like most AYCE places, prices are a bit higher Friday-Sunday & Holidays.

The service was good despite some dishes mistakenly being brought to the table a few times. The staff was efficient, and we had our grill changed regularly without needing to ask, ensuring a great dining experience.

I visited Shinta Japanese BBQ on a Thursday evening and was fortunate to be seated right away with a table for two. It's worth noting that reservations are usually recommended, especially for larger groups. There's plenty of free parking, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
