We were taken by the lovely smell entering and the super friendly service. The cleanliness of this outlet, (on 2140 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke), the quick service, even at the super busy lunch hour with 15 people waiting, it still only took 20 minutes... much less off-peak.
I had the Legendary Chicken, not spicy. My husband the beef & lamb with spicy garlic. Both wraps. Genius engineering for not dripping all down your arm or shirt. The sauces actually stay in the wrap!
We enjoyed it so much, we came back 2 more times for dinner take-out & each time the above still applied.
We also introduced our son to it who enjoyed it very much too.
'Mr. Shelby' - you need a restaurant near Yonge & Sheppard. We discovered you on Kipling because we were working there short term.
Btw: I gave 4* for 'atmosphere' because it is not a fine dining, but a take-out / eat-in fast food.
It does not diminish of any of the above, though.

I ordered from Shelby Legendary Shawarma and was blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. The flavours were on point perfectly seasoned, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. The portions were HUGE definitely more than enough for one person. You can tell they care about giving great value. Highly recommend if you’re craving a filling, flavorful meal. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

I have visited Shelby Shawarma for the second time, and once again, the experience was excellent. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, the shawarma was perfectly seasoned and served with generous portions. The ambiance is casual yet welcoming, making it a great spot for both quick bites and relaxed meals.

A special mention must go to the manager, Harry, who was exceptionally attentive and professional. He ensured every customer felt valued and that the service was smooth and efficient. His friendly attitude truly elevated the overall dining experience.

Shelby Shawarma is definitely worth recommending to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service.

Tried Shawarma biryani. And it was nor Shawarma nor Biryani. I generally like their Shawarma so tried something new but it was very disappointing. In the name of Biryani they serve Basmati rice, onions and mint chutney….thats it!!! Samosa on the side was pathetic. God bless Biryani 🙏

Shelby’s Shawarma is delicious. The very flavorful and saucy — nicely spiced, feel like indulging comfort food. We stopped in once during our road trip and loved it so much, we made a second stop on the way back. Totally deserve the good reviews.

Portion is also very generous. If I'm not on vacation mode I can prob split it into 2 meals.

One of the tastiest shawarmas. We loved the taste here. Tried chicken shawarma bowl and mix poutine n both were great.
Their portion sizes are smaller compared to similar priced shawarmas esp the meat portions but overall great option

Terrible experience – if I could give -5 stars, I would. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl (half and half), and initially, they only gave me fries. Later, they added rice on the side. The food lacked any culinary effort or presentation, and worst of all, I found a hair in the food, as shown in the picture. Absolutely unacceptable.

I ordered 2 Shawarma Bowls and a Poutine bowl. The fries were hard, stale and burnt. The best part of this order was they forgot the gravy!
Shawarma Bowls were filled with hard pink old rice, lacked the toppings ordered.
I would not recommend this place as they specialize in selling old food. This food should not served and or eaten! What a waste, the food was tossed into the trash.

I walked in expecting a quick bite, but what I got was a flavor explosion so intense I nearly proposed to my chicken shawarma wrap on the spot—sorry, Janet, it’s not you, it’s the garlic sauce. The meat was tender, the bread was fresher than my grandma’s gossip, and the fries they snuck in there? A crispy little surprise party in my mouth. I’m pretty sure the staff are secretly wizards because no mortal should be able to pack that much joy into a $15 meal. I laughed, I cried (mostly from the hot sauce), and I left with a full belly and a new life purpose: to return ASAP. Good wraps but not so tasty bowls. Lacks protein qty and not worth the price and appetite.
Freshly grilled breads are amazing.

Terrible experience! This place is seriously cheaping out on toppings. Ordered two shawarma bowls, and they were 80% rice and lettuce—barely any meat or other toppings, and no turnips at all! It felt like they were just trying to fill the bowl with the cheapest ingredients.

On top of that, the customer service was awful. The guy taking the order was rushing, rude, and barely explained anything. It was clear he didn’t care about the customers at all. If this is how they run their business, I won’t be coming back. Hopefully, the owners train their staff properly and stop being so stingy with portions.

ordered two regular shawarma bowls from Shelby, and it was a terrible experience. The food was completely cold, proving that freshness and quality are not a priority here. The chicken and potato fries had a strange bitter taste, making them almost inedible. It felt like they didn’t even bother to serve properly cooked or fresh food. In the end, the only place this food belonged was in the dustbin—and that’s exactly where it ended up (video attached). If this is the standard they follow, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and order from somewhere that actually cares about food quality.

The decor and atmosphere is great. The wall art is hilarious and they have some good music playing while you eat.

The food is good. I got the bacon and halloumi cheese wrap. It was good and flavourful, but a little salty. It was a huge wrap and the chicken was very tender.

The service was a bit slow, but worth the wait.

I tried the chicken, beef, and lamb shawarma, along with the biryani, and everything was delicious. The meats were tender and flavorful, and the biryani had a nice balance of spices. Be aware, though if you opt for spicy, it’s very spicy!

Parking is convenient, with plenty of space. Overall, great food and easy access make it worth a visit!
