R.B. Kent & Son, Inc. was established in 1974. Before the company was established Richard B. Kent served in the Navy, where he learned how to work on heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment. When he got out of the Navy, he gained more knowledge and experience with other HVAC/R companies. Richard Kent decided to take the risk of starting a business while raising two children with his wife Virginia Kent; Lori Polakoff and Richard B. Kent Jr. While raising his family he started R.B. Kent & Son, Inc. right out of his garage! Eventually, he got the opportunity to purchase property to expand, which is the location he has been at for 49 years now!
