FANTASTIC!! I am so glad Lumbini has arrived in Ajax.
The steamed and tandoori Momo is the best thing I've ever tasted. The sauce served with the steamed Momo is to die for we asked for a second helping.
Beautiful decor inside, perfect for date night or family dining. The wait staff are lovely, attentive, soft spoken beauties dressed in traditional outfits that add authenticity to the atmosphere.
We also ordered the mutton curry thali, and chili chicken appetizer. Wow. So much better than the boring sandwich place that used to be at this location. Cannot wait to try everything on the menu! But those chicken Momo's are unforgettable.

Had an amazing experience at LUMBINI HUT where I got to enjoy their delicious Thukpa, refreshing Virgin Mojito, and flavorful Chatpate and obviously
Thkali set.To top it off, the Gilo Chatpate was an absolute treat, with its perfect mix of crunch, tang, and spice. Every bite and sip was a burst of flavor, and the attention to detail in every dish was impressive with an amazing Nepali ambience.
Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a true taste of Nepal.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Lumbini Hut. The ambience was beautiful! The food was delicious with authentic flavors. The server was polite and respectful and recommended some great dishes. We are glad that it's closer to home and can't wait to visit again.
Heard about this new place that opened in Ajax that serves authentic Nepalese cuisine. With the influx of Indian restaurants in Durham Region, I thought it would refreshing to try something new. I was pleasantly surprised!
The food was absolutely delicious. It didn’t taste like traditional Indian food, it had a twist which represents the Nepali palate. We ordered the Chicken Kothe Momo, Mutton Khana Set, Veg Thupka Chow Mein, and for dessert the Yomari. All of it tasted wonderful.
The nice added touch is they ask you if you want “ghee” on your rice.
The service was excellent, the two ladies serving always had smiles on their faces and were dressed in traditional Nepali clothes. We also spoke to the owner about some of his plans for the place, it has a huge patio which he wants to turn into a beer garden in the summer!
The ambiance was good. It’s quite a big place. Also they have live music on Friday/Saturday which is a nice touch.
Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
